We were so excited when this location opened so close to us. We went initially and everything was great. We went back yesterday... and I ordered the chicken biryani. It lacked that Indian flavor. The leftovers were better but not by much. My wife had thebuffet and thought it was just okay flavored, especially for 16.99 (might have been 15.99). We will go back one more time inhopes it was just an off day. Read more

We ordered the veggie samosas (they were good), chicken samosas (they were just ok), the paneer tikka masala (pretty good),... chicken 65 (very little flavor, dry and not tender) and the biryani fried rice medium spice (just okay, not much flavor). Weadded egg as our protein, which I thought they would scramble in with the fried rice. They didn't. They actually put 3 hardboiled eggs in our rice. Very odd and not appetizing. I also ordered a couple of sauces on the side to try and they charged mealmost $10 for a couple of small sides of sauce. I ordered 6 samosas (which are pretty large) and still not sure ehat sauce, ifany, came with those. I've attached pics of the sauces and food. To charge $5.85 & $3.90 ($9.75 total) for a few small sauceswas pretty crazy and excessive to me. All in all, the food was ok. Read more

My husband and I tried this restaurant tonight. And there isn?t one thing I can say bad about this place. Their vegetable... samosas, garlic naan, chicken tikka masala, and fish masala was top tier. The staff and owner were very friendly and the servicewas fast! We look forward to coming back Read more

I just moved to the area and I?ve been looking for an Indian restaurant. This place met all my expectations that I?ve been... looking for. The customer service was great and loved the recommendations they gave. I left full and happy. I absolutelyrecommend the bullet naan if you like something with a little kick to it. I even got my boyfriend liking saag paneer and doesn?tlike spinach. I left full and happy. I will definitely be going back. Read more

My opinion and based on our dinner experience this evening. Giving this place 5 stars exclusively for service and food taste.... Been wanting to visit for a while; heard good things about it from friends and reviews online seem to bear them out. The placeis located in a typical Houston area strip center at the intersection of Grant Rd and Malcolmson Rd in Cypress, NW Houstonmetro. The ambience is utterly minimalistic - too much so, and resembles an ordinary cafe type restaurant. The walls were starkwhite and tables were undistinguished as well - all pretty ordinary/industrial looking. Quite belies they photos on the websiteshowing the Katy location. The refrigerator containing drinks and the soda dispenser in the dining room were incongruous atbest. The website implied a more upscale ambience. The restaurant was not full and seating was freely available - service wasprompt and friendly/solicitous. We ordered Gobi Manchurian for appetizer and mango lassi - this after learning that out firstpreference, Lychee drinks, was unavailable - the big bottle Taj Mahal beer too was disappointingly unavailable. Had theHimalayan Snowman beer instead, which was light and smooth. Ordered Bhindi Masala, Malai Kofta, Cilantro Chicken and Peshawariand Bullet Naans (Chilli Naan). Food arrived promptly, was piping hot and tastefully displayed on white dishes. Napkinsthankfully were of cloth and not paper. Everything was clean - service certainly stood out, attentive and friendly. Food was notvery spicy (despite asking for it) but well-balanced. Tastes were on the mark - very flavorful. The Bhindi was a bit fibery totaste but overall, the food hit the spot. Prices were on the high side - roughly $13.99 and up for a main dish. Quantities werenot huge, but entirely sufficient. We finished everything that was served and we left full. The total cost was $89, including an18% tip. All in all, glad we visited - the tasty food and excellent service will draw us back soon. Meh. It's Ok. Couple of tips for the servers. When serving a bottle of wine, it is customary to open it and not just leave... the corkscrew on the table with the wine. When charging a customer for an off the menu item, don't charge them full price isyou are not going to serve the full entree. A bhatura should not be charged at $12 if you arent going to serve the chole withit. The bhatura had a tinge of sopapilla flavor to it. The food and prices are much better at Tandoorish. The Spice foodtruck on 529 is the bomb in comparison. Ordered medium spicy. Tasted mild to me. Not sure why they need three people up frontwhen two just seem to be hanging out. Read more

I have been 8 times, 3 for dinner and 5 for the lunch buffet. Every thing has been very delicious. I like the variety of the... lunch buffet, and everything on the buffet is not too spicy, mostly mild with one or 2 items that are a little spicy, but on themild side. The staff is always polite and attentive. Read more
