Reviews for Dakota Cowboy in Custer, SD
Dakota cowboy is a perfect place to enjoy your meal. Ambience is too good, total cowboy theme with too many hats and related... artifacts as decorations. It?s little crowded so we had to wait for nearly 10-15 mins to get a table. They also have section forshopping goods and even a photographer was present there during our visit. We bought one of his work as well. Service is littleslow, but food is tasty and fulfilling. We ordered two veggie omelettes and regular coffee. Nice place for a good breakfast. Read more
Wonderful, hot, affordable breakfast. Fun decor for kids and families. They were short staffed like everywhere, but the staff... was wonderful, friendly and helped each other out. We were only there an hour total for a party of 6 but it was worth a littlewait for the good pancakes, French toast, bacon, hash browns and biscuit and gravy platters. Hot coffee continuously topped off. Will support this business again. Read more
I don't even know where to start. This place was cute, and one of the very limited options the town had to offer, so we stopped... for breakfast. The girl at the front was very nice and sat us down quickly. Our waiter was awful, she brought us our food andbefore we could even say thank you she was gone. We needed syrup and drink refills but didn't have time to ask because she setdown our food and left QUICK. We were missing toast for one order and waffles for another order. The waiter never came backexcept to quickly toss a check on the table and walk off fast again, without saying anything. I'm not sure if she was having abad day or what but her customer service was severely lacking. The food we did get wasn't very good. Overall very disappointingexperience, I wouldn't go back or recommend. Read more
Dakota Cowboy is a local favorite serving meals all day long. With a ton of cowboy hats hanging on the walls inside, very... friendly staff, quick meals and great prices for good portions, it's no wonder so many people come here. Biscuits and gravy weredelicious, but most of their food is great anyways so definitely worth going in and trying at some point if you're around. Read more
The food was good. We had country breakfasts. They had cute mini Belgian waffles as a side with my Denver omelet but they were... cold (which cost them a star).. The decor features cowboy hats. A local photographer helps with the restaurant and has wonderfulwildlife photos for sale. Read more
We caught this place Just before they closed for the season. I had the Ribeye and was cooked right, and seasoned well. My man... had the short ribs and were tasty. We also enjoyed Apple pie with cinnamon ice cream for dessert. Because they are closing upfor the season they were low or out of alot of items. The gift shop was sparce as well. Over all we enjoyed this hometown, rustic family style place. Read more

The restaurant was just fine. They were short-staffed so it took longer than we want it.
