Reviews for Closed for the Season - Sage Creek Grille in Custer, SD
Sage Creek Grille is a quaint restaurant in downtown Custer with solid food. Service was good, ambiance was cozy and our food... overall was an enjoyable experience. We had the Mohammara to start, and while it says on the menu it?s spicy, I would call itmore sweet. The overwhelming flavor is more curry than spicy. We also ordered the Asian Shrimp & Rice and Cajun Fettucini. TheShrimp and Rice was spicy with a strong lemongrass flavor. The fettuccini was our best dish. Sauce was wonderful, vegetableswere cooked perfectly and the noodles were Al dente. The one thing missing from this dish is a piece of crusty bread to eat withthe pasta sauce. Would visit again! We are here for dinner while on vacation in the Black Hills area. The food was amazing, the staff were attentive and positive,... and this was the best meal out we have had as a family in a long time! Dinner entrees were fairly priced with generous portionsand wonderful flavor options. The kids meals (separate menu) were $6-7 each and well worth it. We tried the Mohamarra appetizer(like a fancy hummus, but better!) and for dinner we had the angel hair pasta with sun dried tomato basil butter (my daughteradded bacon bits that were actual pieces of real bacon, not just bits), the Asian Chili Pepper Shrimp and Rice, and the BourbonStreet Cajun Fettuccine with shrimp. All were awesome. We would definitely eat here again! Read more
