Went for a brunch with a couple friends, because this place was one of the few open early. The menu isn't too diverse, but we... were glad to find some very authentic Chinese style breakfast options like savory rice roll! The beef brisket noodles were alsovery tasty. Don't know why the A/C was turned way up in the winter. Read more

Came on a Sunday around 4:30. Not crowded at all. All of the dishes were excellent. There was one dish that came very late,... after we were all done. Waitress said the person making it arrived late and they were making it from scratch. And it tasted likeit, fresh and tasty. Even though we were all done and the dish just arrived, we finished it all because it was so good. Read more

Horrible in basically every way. Generally, I have no complaints about service when going to a Chinese restaurant. My baseline... expectation is only prompt, no-nonsense ordering and getting the bill, with absolutely no expectation for service attitude orwarmth. But there was only 1 full time waiter serving the entire dining room. He was extremely flustered, throwing down platesand even bumping into customers/tables racing to finish orders. I was blatantly ignored at the front door for over 10 minutesbefore being seated. They are so short staffed nobody has time to give you recommendations: simply scan a QR code and to order.I heard this place was pretty authentic and ordered the sweet and sour mandarin fish to truly test how good they can be. Andthat order was overlooked, having me wait for over 45 minutes. It pains me to criticize the food at this point knowing howextremely difficult it is to make this dish. And I'd even say chef executed quite well on knife skills. Sweet sour sauce was onpoint. HOWEVER, I cannot forgive they use Tilapia, the cheapest ingredient, for this $40 dish. To add insult, I can even tastethe fish was not fresh! Maybe the order was complete and forgotten, but when I received it, some portions of the deep fried fishwas no longer crispy. My high expectations were completely crushed. I guess it's really hard to source high quality live fishand make profit in the US. The last part REALLY left a bad taste in my mouth. I ordered 1 portion of soy sauce duck to go anappetizer. When I opened to try it 1 day later, I found the portions to be tiny, and the duck already spoiled. I can't believepeople actually think this place is good. As a Shanghai native, I am ashamed an establishment brining this business attitude isallowed to exist. Read more

Authentic Shanghai dishes! Really enjoy some of the dishes. We came for Saturday lunch around noon and sat outdoor. Due to staff... shortage, the service was tad slow but understandable since there were only two servers and is was rush lunch time. I reallyliked the Shanghai mushroom combo, savory soy milk, egg yolk tofu and the herbs with tofu skin salad. Read more

The food here is quite good and I think pretty authentic compared to other Shanghai restaurants. We ordered a dozen of dishes... and they were all pretty good. The price is ok for the quantity. However, this place is terrible to dine in because they don?topen the AC and honestly I don?t understand why. I sweated so much while eating and could not stay one second longer after thediner. Terrible. I even one time ask them to open the AC and the waiter told me that they don?t open the AC. Read more
