We frequent this Steak ?n Shake often, usually on Sunday?s around lunchtime (when they?re normally very busy). Today, we come by... and walk up to dine-in like normal? but doors are locked, lights off, and no sign anywhere about the dine-in area being closed.We can see people in the kitchen, but still, nothing. This coupled with the drop in food quality lately is causing us to changeour mind about frequenting this Steak ?n Shake. Also, I?m not a ?Karen? - I get that restaurants are short-staffed now-days andit?s 100% okay to keep part of a restaurant (the dine-in area) closed for the day as a result. Just post a sign. It's been about 12 years since I've ate at this location and it has changed. The food used to be really good, today the burger... was not very good, it didn't taste like it used. Maybe different beef or old beef? The crackers for the chili were stale. Read more
Just skip this place, the staff just doesn't care. I watched every person before me find something wrong with their order. We... play still large order for takeout, when I arrived I told them that I was there, I had to speak with two different people andthen they made me even show them my order on my phone. Phone. They disappeared and 30 minutes later when I saw them all standingaround on their phones and nothing on the grill. I asked them where my food was. They said it had been done for a while andasked me why I hadn't checked in lol. Despite the order being ready, it actually wasn't in there with stuff they had to go andgrab like the shakes. They loaded all the drinks into one drink carrier which broke in the parking lot because it wasn't meantto hold that much weight. Read more
Never going back!!! First of all no personal contact with anyone you have to order from a machine,pay a machine,get your own... drink and my wife had to clean the table before we could set down. Food quality has gone down since we last eaten there about2yrs ago. When they called my name to get my order I was getting my drink right next to where they put it and before I couldturn left they were gone. NO PERSONAL SERVICE!!! Read more
Really like the kiosks for ordering and you can't beat the price for a cheeseburger, fries and a drink. There was a sign on the... door that said the milkshake machine was out of order. I saw a number of people read the sign and leave. Maybe because it wasSunday this machine couldn't be fixed. I wonder if the manager knew about this and should have working to get this fixed ASAP! Food was great. Place was a mess. Found only clean table to sit and eat on. Made sure to leave it nice for next folks. I... know the place is short staffed.... But looked like restroom hadn't been cleaned in days.... And just wiping off tables wouldhave been easy enough. No cashier... Just kiosks. I hate that... But guess it is new normal. Read more
