Food is normally good; however, customer service is terrible. I was understanding of bad service last time because of staffing... shortages? this time I waited at the counter for 10 minutes (not an exaggeration) to place a to-go order & was never evengreeted/had my order taken. One person was working at the bar. Two women were working behind of the wall of the to-go counterbut they never even checked to see if I needed help. I ended up just walking out without even placing an order because my timeis worth more. Really disappointed by this. Read more
First time trying this place, did pickup. Brisket, pork, and rib plate. Everything was extremely dry and dull. Food felt old and... over cooked. The rib bones were mushy with dry meat, the shredded pork was dry and bland, and the brisket chunks broke apartlike it was old. I love mustard base sauces and this sauce had the sharpness of mustard without the balance of everything else.Hush puppies were good, green beans were pretty mediocre. Maybe an off day but I?m not sure about buying another ~$25 plate tofind out if this wasn?t normal. Read more

Loved almost everything. Ribs were fall off the bone. Coleslaw and bens were just right. Service was sweet and southern.... Brisket was a little dry and lean for my taste but will be back. Read more
As I stopped for lunch I was quickly reminded of days gone by. You could find good restaurants at affordable prices and... excellent food. The staff were very friendly, they got our order ready quickly. I think the pulled pork could use more flavor - the pork... brownies is definitely the better choice. Their hush puppies are sweet and moist, which I really liked. Fried okra and potatosalad were also tasty. Read more
I ordered 10 lemon pepper (dry) wings and some hush puppies to pick up to go. I got home and opened the wings and they were so... salty I could not even eat them. I tried rubbing some of the coating off to no avail. I've enjoyed lemon pepper wings frommany other places and have never had even the taste of salt yet these were so salty I dumped them. I attempted to contact therestaurant to find out if perhaps there was a mistake with the rub or a mistake in the kitchen, or if the lemon pepper wingswere always so salty and have not rec'd any reply. Very disappointed. Edited 11.15.22 - I rec'd an email from the contact formthat I'd filled out prior to my review. He apologized for the delay and explained that while there is salt in the rub, itshould not be overpowering. He contacted the location to let them know to watch how much salt is being used in the rub andinvited me to come back and try again. He did refund the cost of my order, so that was nice. I will try again at some point inthe future because I do enjoy dry, lemon pepper wings. I'm glad that the effort was made to make it right. Read more
