I recently had the privilege to enjoy Bona Casa to go and it exceeded my expectations! If your experience with ravioli has been... limited to the packages in the case at your local grocery store, prepare to be blown away. Bona Casa raviolis are extremelytender pasta wrapped around a ton of fillings. I was turned up my nose when I heard about the cheese and raisin, but aftertrying it, I am a fan. They are cheesy with just a hint of sweet that compliments the red sauce. (Do yourself a favor and giveit a try before you decide that you don't like them) The chicken and cheese is also great with lots of flavor. The homemadesausage was a great compliment to the ravioli with just a hint of heat. Thank you for a wonderful meal - glad you are back! Read more

The pasta is delicious, but it's a carb-bomb. The ravioli was my favorite. The spaghetti and cavatelli kind of blend together,... but are tender and delicious. The sausage and meatball were great, just not enough of it to balance out the carbs. Thebreadstick and garlic cheese bread were awesome, but a touch too salty. You can tell the pasta is made from scratch, and it'sexcellent. Portion sizes are HUGE. They just recently changed ownership (the original owner's granddaughter, IIRC). They aretakeout only right now, but are staffing-up for dine-in. I'll definitely visit again, and I hope they get a chance to expandtheir menu. Read more

Bona Casa is down right Exellent!! Be fore warned though, this is Real Italian Recipes and Sauces!! Your Taste Buds won't know... what hit them! The Noodles are made from scratch as is the Sauce! It is the only place to eat when your around CumberlandWisconsin!! If you don't know what to try I would recommend my Favorite from there, The ½ and ½, ½ the order is big Chickenand Cheese Ravioli and the other half is Cavatelli!!!! (Cav·a·tel·li) It's well worth the money and the portions are the waya Italian Mom would feed you I like to believe. As far as cost, the portions are in line with the prices and it's no more costthen a Fast Food Joint! Just outside of Cumberland 2 or 3 miles! Read more

The sauce was a little too simple, missing those traditional flavors like garlic and basil. Ravioli was delicious, sausage... was slightly coarse ground and sweetly flavorful, the meatball was packed with seasoning and should be ordered every time. The"Family Style" menu item shows that cavatills plus spaghetti is too much of a good thing. Cavatills being a dumpling pastawhile spaghetti is, well pasta too with the same red sauce didn't give it much separation or contrast to the meal. They alsohave a pepper jack cheese sauce which if I were them would've offered it on one of the other pastas (I.E spaghetti with redsauce and cavatills with white cheese sauce). Bread sticks were soft and warm and slightly too salty. Atmosphere was spaciousenough and the tables were full of families. Photos on the wall also showcase the family business is all about family. So, was it OK? Absolutely. Would I drive 100 miles round trip again? I wouldn't. But if you're closer and want real value foryour family night out with children who may like an easy menu to choose from then I would be happy to tell you to go there andsupport the family business. I've loved this place my entire life! ???? However just the other day we grabbed 4 meals to go. Got home, and something was... wrong..! We all felt the sauce has changed. ???? I'm really hoping this was a one time thing. A million, or so.., meals thatwere awesome..! And for the 1st time I had to thicken up and add to the no taste, watery sauce.. - I will still go there! But ifthat is there knew sauce... It will not be a weekly visit anymore... Don't change what's delicious! Read more
