The food was really amazing and very freshly prepared. Our server was very knowledgeable, professional, and attentive. She was... happy to answer any questions we had and was social. Although the menu was slightly limited, there seemed to be more foodavailable off the menu than actually listed. We ate indoors and it was incredibly hot with no air flow. It was a cool nightoutside, so they left the doors open which did not help whatsoever, and let many flies in which were a nuisance during the meal.Some of the seating is unconventional - despite having a reservation I was seated on a couch which left my back hurting for afew days and made the meal very uncomfortable. With the strong heat and the seating, I was unable to finish my meal - I wouldget takeout from here but I still not return for dine in. Another distraction was that both hostesses were chewing gum withtheir mouthes open all night, which is not pleasant when they're walking by and you're trying to enjoy your meal. Read more
Though quite small, Cumberland has an impressive list of "must see" places to visit, from Cumberland Heritage Village Museum to... the Humanics Sculpture Park. After eating at Maker Feed Co, I would add this quirky restaurant to this list. Not only is thedecor highly original, but the food is amazing. We went to this hidden gem August 2022. Wow. I wish we had gone much sooner. The chef is amazing. Friendly and has a great... staff. Abundant young staff to attend to you. One of the best meals we have had in a long long time. Located in the smalltown of Cumberland Ontario. The food is farm to table and most items are locally sourced. There is a menu; and specials menuand off menu items. There is an amazing pizza menu as well. Fresh fresh FRESH. We both went with the lobster risotto andthere was no room left for desert. We decided to get desert to go to eat at home. We were so impressed that we have booked thepatio for my wife’s Birthday party later this month. Maker Feed Co. is quickly becoming one of my favorite restaurants. It is pricey, but this is completely justified by the quality... of the food (farm to table!), the originality of the menu, the friendly staff, and the beautiful atmosphere. It is located inthe heart of Cumberland in a stunning old stone Victorian house. Highly recommended! Read more

I'm the AGM of a French restaurant in Toronto, in the industry for over 12 years, so I make a tough judge when going out for... dinner. But last night was just fantastic!! The Chef has made us very happy, thanks to his background from Lyon he was able toprepare us a delicious Cassoulet, and I'm from Toulouse so I can tell ^^ We tried pretty much every item, Beet and Cesar salads,the onion soup, the Pork chop, the Slamon, the NY Steak special, every single item in the plate was cooked perfectly! Servicewas also efficient, our server (Riley I believe) was very kind. The wine list is short but just enough for everyone'staste. Generous portions for a great value. " Chapeau" to this great team! From the beautiful rustic country charm, fantastic hospitality, and gastronomy like no other, you will find yourself going backmany times! My recommendation is try something on the menu you wouldn't necessarily find elsewhere - you will be pleasantlysurprised! First impressions are so important, and you delivered above and beyond! My husband and I finally made it out to Maker Feed this past weekend- what a treat! The food was creatively conceived,... delicious, and generously proportioned (if somewhat ridiculous- see pic), the atmosphere was lovely and interesting, the servicewas splendid, and the staff genuinely seemed to enjoy working there, which is an accomplishment unto itself. There are so manythings that I love about this restaurant!! We will definitely be back. Read more
