This was by far one of my best experiences dining. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the porterhouse and my boyfriend... the tomahawk. Seasoned and cooked to perfection. The potatoes and asparagus were also very enjoyable. Had no room for dessert,but they looked very good. The ambiance of the restaurant was beautiful, charming and quaint. Came here for our folks' 61st anniversary...when we walked in, it smelled delicious, reminded me of my grandmothers... kitchen...the food did not disappoint! Even the bread was delicious! My parents really enjoyed it. Thank you so much! Read more
This is another downtown Cumberland gem. Great setting and great food. Attentive, but friendly service make this a relaxing but... upscale experience. One of the first people I met when I entered is part of the family that runs the place. I had a chickendish that was on point, but I wish I had been more adventurous! My mother got a pasta dish with asparagus and mushrooms ? it wasso good! I would definitely consider this as a go to. Cumberland has a lot of Italian food and this is one of the best. I don?teat a lot of Italian food, but it?s always a treat when I have it. I plan to go back! I also made a reservation and they gaveme one of the best seats in the house. I see a new pizza contraption they are putting on their patio and I?m looking forward totrying what they come up with. Enjoy! Read more
I've lived in the North End of Boston and traveled quite a bit for work. I always try to seek out italian restaurants in new... cities. This was by far, the best Italian meal I've ever had. The food was absolutely delicious and the wine was perfect aswell. The ambiance and music made it a perfect experience. You cannot go wrong with a dinner here. I?m not kidding you when I say this is one of the best Italian restaurants I?ve been to. My wife and I got lucky finding this... place as we were hiking in West Virginia and came through Cumberland on the way back. We were in the mood for Italian food anddecided to come here. It was one of the best decisions we ever made. You can tell everything is made from scratch. Even thebalsamic vinegar and oil that comes with the bread is absolutely fantastic. I?ve had two separate meals and they are just sofilled with flavor. All of the staff are super hospitable and it makes you feel like you?re at your grandmothers table fordinner. We drove down two hours one day just to eat here for dinner. The owner gave us a complementary glass of wine just fordriving down. This is a hidden gem in Cumberland and a must go. Read more
No words can explain how AMAZING the food was, and the STAFF were astonishing welcoming and so FRIENDLY. I made a reservation... for my parents and I, my parents were celebrating their 57th anniversary and I couldn?t have asked for a more delicious andterrific waiter and staff. Great food! Took my wife here for her birthday. This is what an old school Italian Restaurant was back in the day. The food is... incredibly fresh and delicious. We had the steak, shrimp scampi, and some tasty starters and desserts. The service was reallyprompt and friendly. It seems like people enjoy working there. We got a special treat where the owner and manager sung happybirthday in Italian to my wife. Very pleased with the experience. Looking forward to going back! Read more
