Recently we had dinner at this place with out of town family members. The food was ordinary at best. The service was terrible.... The waiter had a bad attitude. The place was nearly empty, yet he couldn't do anything simple for us saying that it will mess uptheir system. We had ordered bunch of stuff family style so we can taste different things, cutting the burger into half wouldmess up their system. We dined in but also requested some food to go. So that some of the items in the togo food wouldn't getsoggy for later dining, we asked the waiter to put them in two different containers. The waiter absolutely refused to do thatsaying that it will mess up their system and supposedly the "owner " who we were told was in the kitchen makes no exceptions tohow items are prepared or presented. We asked to speak to the owner but the waiter said the owner wouldn't come out. After muchback and forth he condescendingly told us he would comply with our request but only this once not next time to which we saidthere won't be a next time for us here. When he brought our bill, he had the audacity to add a 20% gratuity and there wasnothing in the menu indicating that gratuity is added automatically. When we questioned him about it, he said that the computerdoes it automatically and he can't fix it. Ofcourse we paid him in cash for the food and tax. One of the best persian food you can find. I took chicken and koobideh kabob and it was great. They put a bread under kabob... which is super nice and authentic. I really liked the atmosphere. The restaurant was completely empty other than one group. I requested to sit at a specific table, "Alex" the server there... refused to seat me at the table stating the table was dirty. It was literally completely set with silverware and napkins likeall the other tables. Then questioned why we wanted to sit there when it was a table for 6. I explained that that I'd like thetables separated to just accommodate the 2 of us. He again refused. I asked to speak with management. "Alex" disappeared to theback and came back stating that the table I wanted was reserved. Literally no one in the restaurant. 5 other places his fakereserved party could be sat. Simple, there are 1000 other restaurants to go to. Word to management. Replace "Alex" or who everthe short Hispanic guy is. He's very bad for business. Saturday 6pm, empty restaurant. Food here is tasty, service is good. I’m a regular customer, and every time I enjoy my food. The dolmeh is tasty, the chicken... kabob plate with rice is one of the best dishes, it’s always served hot. I thought this pizza would be loaded and flavorful for $24. Instead it came presented like this; undercooked (see cheese and... corn), lacking toppings and even marinara sauce, and the sausage was definitely one or two un-spiced frozen sausage sliced up.Gourmet expectations and less than basic results.
