I dined at DJ last Friday night. Its a restaurant that I've been wanting to try for a very long time. I'm rating it 3 starts... because of the cocktail served to us - Ordered an old fashioned and I'm pretty disappointed to say it unfortunately was probablythe worst old-fashioned thats ever been served to me- the drink was bitter and not balanced and since we ordered two and bothtasted like that it was def not a one off incident. I didn't order another drink after. Unfortunately, that did kick us off onthe wrong foot; but the food was good; pics of my order attached. Providing this feedback less as a complaint but more as a MUSThave area of improvement for a restaurant like this - its def a deterrent for me to come back and due to this experience I'vemoved a reservation for 4 that I had here to a different restaurant. Fabulous! I have been meaning to write this review for way too long. I dined at Dear John's in Spring 2021 during Dine LA week.... We were seated outside and attended to graciously. The food was excellent and just the perfect serving to leave you full but notstuffed. A family member introduced me to this spot and I don't know how I went so long without eating here before.
