We had a small, four-person company meeting at Sheridan's, with four people staying two nights and having a meeting in the... dining area. Everything about this property in impeccable. So nicely done, lovely and historic. The food and service were bothexemplary. The communication and the billing were prompt and professional. The facility is so beautiful and the neighborhood iscute and convenient to the lake, downtown and the airport. The rooms are cozy, comfortable and very well-appointed. The ease of check in, the competent and friendly staff, the... location and decor, and coming "home" each day to an inviting fire is a wonderful touch. The room was very nice and clean. The staff was pretty nice and welcoming I will say. Only issue I had was how the breakfast was... delivered . With them asking about any food restrictions etc. that it would be honored and when they ask about how many guestthat?s how it would be served. I was confused when we received one oj , one cranberry juice, a slice of a quiche with a requestof no beef or pork for one guest and it was all on the same plate so it appeared to be a tray setup for one. We were unaware itwas shareable breakfast which was fine if it didn?t have what the other person didn?t eat on the same plate. When we spoke tostaff who indicated she was unaware of the request but could scrap off something to replace what was given REALLY left a badtaste in my mouth. I appreciate staff trying to fix even bringing condiments we needed but using the term ?scape ? somethingtogether just didn?t sit right. I requested to speak to a manager just to address my concern that?s it! I Would have given themfive stars cause this location was very nice and I?ve stayed at a few bed and breakfast but after the email I received today Iwas left feeling VERY offended. The inn is very comfortable. Check-in process was easy. Great communication from the owners. Our room was spacious and the... bathroom was as well with a great shower. It is in a safe and secure area. Only about a 15 minute drive to downtown Milwaukee.It was super clean! The breakfast was excellent. Thanks again! Read more
