I pass through here once to twice a month. I never had stopped until early this morning 8/27/2022. This is now one of my all... time favorite stops in the country. Cool place, very neat. But ordered the country fried steak with mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese? red flag was? Mac and cheese... was thrown out because it was starting to go bad? ???? so I had to pick another side? went with green beans, food came outalmost instantly, and looked great. But taste made me sick ???? the mashed potatoes tasted extremely sour, the steak had agrainy texture to it. After a few bites, I called the waitress over to let her know in quiet that the mashed potatoes might bespoiled? tasted sour? so she was very sorry and I requested to replace my order with something that I know had to be cooked onthe spot? so I got 3 eggs over easy and white toast.. Waitress brings the bill? very nice lady, she says take your time no rushshe can take payment any time? price was $16 charged me for the country fried steak meal. So right before I payed I just wantedto verify that pricing was accurate. She looked at the bill and said yes. I got charged for the meal that was spoiled and thrownaway. But as a nice guy I added a tip. So after a bad experience, I paid $20 for 3 eggs over easy and white toast ???? mostlikely won?t eat here again.. but the truck stop is nice. One of my brother's favorite road trip stops. At first I wasn't sure why. Not until ya go inside, have a bit to eat. Pay... attention and realize your surroundings and just where you are at. The service and atmosphere is one of a kind. The food ispretty good too but it's a must see for yourself. Read more
My husband and I are OTR truckers and this was our first time here. The atmosphere was nice and the waitress was nice, however,... the food not so much. Now we started off the with fried cheese curds with ranch to dip them and those were honestly the bestpart of the meal. I had the steak and eggs breakfast with a side of half order of biscuits and gravy. I asked for my steak to bemedium rare and it came out well done, I asked for my eggs to be over easy so I could dip my toast in it and they were overmedium well (so no runny yolk). My husband didn't even get his whole order and he had to repeat himself 3 times when he wasordering. Maybe it was just the cook on this day or maybe it's their breakfast just isn't great but based on what I had, I wouldnot recommend. If you're a smoker, you'll love this place because they do have a smoking section. Read more
The food here is fantastic!! The satff here is absolutely the best!! The two managers as well as the general manager are so... friendly and I will without a doubt be coming back. The prices are great, but the food is even better. I highly suggest you stopin and try Dottie's when in the Cuba area. Read more
Just had a chicken and a steak quesadilla, was planning on saving one for later but they were so good I ate both. The flavor and... spice was incredible and I am now stuffed. I will be back for sure to try more menu items. I am from the southwest and aquesadilla is as good a test of the kitchen as a burger and they passed with flying colors!!! See you again soon. Read more
