We enjoyed the nautical atmosphere and had a great view of the water. We had fun watching seagulls slide down the tin roof,... while we waited a long time for our food. We were recommended to try Charlie?s Seafood by our vacation house manager. I was happily surprised when we walked in the door... & I could see we were on the water. Very picturesque location. The food was delicious and the presentation was very nice. The portions were good and the prices were affordable and okay. Nice fish camp type of atmosphere. Food was delicious. Shrimp was cooked just right not overly battered or deep fried. Try the... local cream ale. Excellent on a hot day. Service was very good. We highly recommend sitting out back at the railing. You canwatch multitude of fish swimming in the clear water. The Tarpen are 4 to 6 ft long. Read more
The price for a crab cake sandwich was listed on the menu for $12.95. We bought two and were charged $32.95. I asked the... waitress who was very nice but she said the price went up. "Timing is everything", a very wise man taught me. The steamed shrimp, hush puppies, and cheese grits (excellent cheese grits!)... were all fine. But. They came on the heels of "spectacular" the day before. Husband had the "Scallops Rockefeller". Verygood. But. More Alfredo sauce was needed. Just a tad too dry for his taste. The waitress, Tammy, was more than helpful inremedying the "more sauce" situation. Bottom line...well worth the trip...and a 15 minute max wait. Read more
Feels like an old school super club, which I love, The service was fantastic. My husband ordered the peel and eat shrimp and the... first batch was cooked differently, they were training in the kitchen, with the spice rub sauce cooked into it rather thanpoured over after a guess. Anyway, it made the shrimp wayyyyy to salty, our server was the best and warned us and said thatshe'd get us another if we didn't like it and we didn't, and quick as a whip she fixed it.
