Food has been on point ever since they opened; however, I feel they raised prices a bit....probably due to Biden's wonderful... economy. Recommended nevertheless. Read more

Being from Chicago and experiencing some of the best dishes known to man, I never imagined myself in crown point Indiana having... an amazing savory taste sensation with super friendly service at this small place with a big surprise!! The birria tacos weredelicious as was the steak tostada! And the prices were very reasonable especially with the lunch specials! I'm going backasap!! Read more

The service is pretty great, the food is so tasty, my favorite is the birria tacos!! The chips are made fresh every day. Their... sauces are made on site and my favorite is the jalapeno hot sauce. It is so good on the tacos. I've been a customer since theiropening 4 years ago and will always go back. Read more

I would give 2.5 stars if I could but will round to 3 due to the fact that there wasn't anything "bad" just really nothing... "good". Salsa and hot sauces were average, and the chips did not taste fresh. Chimichanga was fried well but the steak wasbland and not trimmed well, there was gristle in a few bites. The pastor taco was bland and dry. The barbacoa taco was average. The rice and beans were good. The food came out quick and the service was good. All in all this place had healthy portions andwill fill you up but the flavor was not there for me. Read more

For the most part we liked the food. Authentic Mexican with all homemade sides and salsas. A little bit too salty for my palate,... but not over powering...still very good flavor. The chimichamga is cooked to perfection/ nice and crisp. Portions are generous. We'll eat here if our favorite place is closed (Mondays), and we're craving Mex. They have a quite small dining area, which iskept clean, but don't look for traditional ambiance. It's just tables and chairs w/ sparse decor. Read more

There are some good Mexican places around. Like Fat Burrito on the north side of town, Mi Ranchero in Lowell and, of course, La... Carreta in Merrillville. This place is awesome. Friendly and courtesy staff, but that does not match the food. As the kidswould say, it's The bomb.com. We've had take out and dined in. The food is great either way. I'm partial to the burrito, butthe kids loved the tacos and the wife loved her food as well. 3 year later update. If anything, the place is better than whenit opened. Good stuff. Read more
