After living in the #1 seaport New Bedford MA I'm still adjusting to what is served as seafood here! There's a big difference... in how it's prepared and what is being served. The calamari rings I ordered were fried to my liking and I asked for tartar sauceinstead of the red sauce offered, fries were tasty and crisp. The advertised menu is out of date indicating a calamari plateand only as an appetizer no fries so I share my lunch partners! Read more

We went to EI on a recommendation from a friend, and wow, are we glad we did! I don't eat tuna fish, but my husband ordered the... smoked tuna dip. I tried it and it was absolutely delicious! It tasted so much better than I imagined it would. I had steak andgrilled shrimp and my husband had a smorgasbord of seafood...shrimp, scallops, etc. It was all completely delicious. The foodwas seasoned perfectly and there wasn't a boring bite to be had. We will definitely be back and would recommend this place toanyone who enjoys seafood. It's very little pricey for what it is. Nothing special, and the batter on the fried gulf shrimp and popcorn shrimp was wildly... salty. Plus, they upcharge $2.25 to get a small salad as a side.
