This place was wonderful. We stayed at the lodge. Beautiful scenery, accommodations were perfect for us, very rustic but clean,... neat. The staff couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. We only had one meal at the restaurant but it was delicious. Willdefinitely go back if we ever are in the area. Read more

I went for an anniversary dinner, and was expecting to be disappointed. I was wrong :-) We were seated quickly on the patio by... the river, after being told on the phone that they only had indoor seating. We showed up early and they still got usaccommodated right away. Server was immediately on our table, and she was pleasant. I had read that prices were a little moresteep than I am comfortable with, but this was a special occasion for us. Any time a restaurant wants $50 for a steak out inthe woods, I figure that it is because of the location and NOT because of the quality of the food. Again.... I was delighted tobe wrong :-) I had the Filet Mignon with cherry demi-glaze. My wife had the pork medallions in a mushroom sauce. My steak wasperfect. Her dish was perfect as well. Service was fast, food was great, view was fantastic. I suspect that other reviewsindicating slow service might be due to a full house during high season. I could see how that might slow things down a bit. Wewere here the week before Labor day, so there were less visitors in the area. This is a mountain community. If you are onvacation, plan on things being a little slower than usual, and simply enjoy the view! I will visit The Antlers every trip toCreede. (BTW, the table next to us got the rack of lamb, and I was jealous until my steak was placed in front of me.) Read more

Came here with a group of 4 and spent right around $250. The outside patio is really nice and right up on the river. It's a... nicer restaurant in a part of CO that doesn't really have any other options. The decor was a bit dated, though played into the"country" vibe. The outdoor tables and chairs were all kitschy and could've been nicer based on the menu prices. Most itemswill run you around $30-50, they had everything from Elk Loin to Chicken Marsala and even Rack of Lamb. The weird thing is theydon't list what side item comes with your meal, whether it's mashed potatoes or whatnot. Our server was nice, though theservice didn't feel upscale which one would expect based on the prices. Once we ordered some cocktails, that were $17 each, ittook 15-20min for them to show up. All in all, the food was good, not great, for a $60/pp charge. The view and people I waswith that evening was much more memorable than the meal. Taking into account the restaurants remote-ness and decent menuofferings, I'd recommend if you're in the area looking for a special meal, but don't get your expectations up. Read more

This is one of the best RV parks I've stayed at in my 20+ years of RVing. We've been here the last 3 summers and have already... made reservations for next year. The owners, Chuck and Patti Powers, are great, and their staff are professional and responsiveto their guests' needs. The Antlers Lodge is a 5 star dinning experience. Highly recommended! Read more

Great restaurant in an amazing location. The special today was elk loin that was tremendous. Others in the group had the rack of... lamb, the New York Strip, and the pork chops. All excellent. Drinks were good and reasonably priced. Dessert was amazing. Goodservice. The outer patio on the banks of the Rio Grande River in the autumn evening was worth the trip! Tremendous! Read more

We really enjoyed our stay at this park. We had an engine light which had to be checked back in Durango so we were forced to end... our trip here early. The resort couldn?t have been any more understanding with our situation. They worked with us and ourneighbors who canceled their extra days to follow us back to Durango. Great breakfast on the Rio Grande plus a great dinner onthe Rio Grand at their restaurant. We hope to return again for an extended period to travel keep trails and fish! Read more

Wonderful location overlooking the river and canyon, can't be beat! Waited about 10 minutes on a Tuesday morning for an outdoor... riverside table. Food was very tasty (albeit expensive.... but you are paying for the view)... $12 for two eggs, a small portionof home fries, and half a biscuit with gravy.... $3.50 for a cup of coffee that was kept full the whole time. Very tasty lemonpoppyseed pancakes with real maple syrup. They closed and it was empty by 10:30AM so don't be late. We will definitely be back. Read more
