Honestly this place is the reason you get the crust out of your eyes and go eat breakfast in the presence of other people. I... cannot wait to begin my Granddad here ! Their bacon is reason enough to be a loyal customer, AND they are not sparing with theirbutter which makes me a loyal customer for life. I will never turn my back on dairy and neither should you ! Stopped by for lunch today, first visit. The seafood was great. Sadly I ordered a prime rib sandwich. Horrible, the worst ever... and the fries were a poor excuse. Wish I had taken a picture o the plate. Server never checked on us until the meal was done.She offered to bring something else but it was too late. Still charged us for the horrible food. I have eaten at Porter Island twice. The first time they were out of grouper and I ordered chicken Alfredo. I became ill while... eating. The next day my husband ate the leftovers and also became sick. So I tried them again. This time I ordered grouper. Itwas undercooked and I currently feel like I need to vomit. I am 13 weeks pregnant - thanks for food poisoning. I only ate a fewbites of grouper before I felt ill. The waitress did not check on me during my meal and I told her at checkout. We were traveling the coastline from Panama City Beach down. In from Pennsylvania. We stopped here due to other reviews. Marisa... was our server and she was friendly and fantastic. Our food was excellent and the homemade garlic butter was ridiculous. Myhusband went with the daily special Buffalo Shrimp Po? Boy sandwich with fries and I had the catfish lunch with sweet potatofries and hush puppies and added cole slaw. Such a good stop! Added unsweetened teas and was only $24 plus tax and tip.
