The birria tacos and the corn in the cup are great! The prices are really way to high and if you get a drink expect to pay over... $20 for lunch. No refills you have to purchase bottles. They have one bottle of each red and green salsa that just gets passedaround depending on who asks for it and they will come and snatch it from your table to take it elsewhere. I have been meaning to try this place for quite a while... sorry I waited so long to actually get here. I ordered the Birria... taco combo with the broth dip. OMG... such an incredible explosion of flavor! The spiced meat really put this lunch experienceover the top. I look forward to returning... and will likely order the exact same meal! Read more
Authentic Mexican food right in downtown Covington. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We also had a chance to speak... with the owners who told us that they make monthly trips back to Mexico for their herbs and spices. Nice, family run, and alegitimate business with all of the proper permits for St Tammany parish. They will also be serving from their newly opened Tacotruck on hwy 22 in Mandeville.
