Good service but basic food. My California Burritto was a dry tortilla with rice and beans, barely any carnitas. No garnish or... plating, just a lonely burrito. Disappointed for the price. Salsa was yummy and zippy. Read more
We've eaten here numerous times but it still strikes me as odd when a place says they have authentic Mexican food and there's no... spice, no seasoning whatsoever on the tacos. The food is all cooked, so Gordon Ramsey couldn't yell at them for making it rawbut they forget about salt & pepper frequently. It matters and I hope they read this because apparently they are not tastingtheir own food. The salsa is good but that black bean dip would be so much better with pinto beans instead. I'd also like topetition to get charro beans added to the menu and a way to order just tacos at the Taco Tuesday price on the website onTuesdays. That last one may be too complicated to make it change price on the website on that certain day but it would be nice. Read more

Mexican food is pretty basic and never really amazing that I have had. But this was as good asany Mexican food I have had anywhere. The service was excellent. My husband and I wanted something different so we googled and went to a restaurant called Carreta's Grill. We thought it may be... like la Carrera in tangipahoa parish. To our delight it was not. The skirt steak was perfectly marinated so tender and tastedamazing. Not the cheap cut of meat I have grown accustomed to with other Mexican restaurants. They had a waitress (Ashlyn)therethat was amazing as well. We watched as a customer was snippy for no reason ordering her around like she was her personal slaveand Ashlyn handled it like a champ very sweet and accommodating. The assistant manager was also extremely nice and knew theyhad an awesome waitress too. I will definitely be back. This is a most go.. Read more
We had a splendid Taco Bar catered by Carreta?s! It was super fun for the party. Guests could choose beef or chicken, soft or... crispy shelled tacos. It was more than ample food with rice and beans, chips and salsa! We are so pleased with their preparationand care! Read more
