A classic. We didn?t know there were other locations outside of NOLA but we were happy to dine here on our road trip day from... Gulfport to Dallas. I went there with my daughter for breakfast. The service was definitely lacking something that good service has. There was an... man (employee) slouching around in the dining area wiping tables and complaining about the noise of the children. Their noisewas not that bad, and they were sitting outside! What really irked me is that our beignets were cold, not even a little bitwarm. The names Cafe Du Monde and beignet are icons in this part of our state and I was frustrated to see how this particularestablishment berated those icons with their "don't care" attitude. Arrived here at around 615am, at the time the staffed seemed half asleep and pretty much ignored me when I asked where the... restroom was.. my partner decided to use the restroom while I browsed the menu. It was my first time here and I didn't even knowhow to order. When it was my turn to use the restroom I can hear my partner laughing, always the one to start a conversation wstrangers. Nonetheless, when I came out I was greeted by Clarice and Beau and they were happy enough to share the history ofChicory coffee a second time. They were very friendly, I just think we needed a sec. The place was clean and were given samplesof their frozen iced coffee. The beignets were delicious!! Paired well with the Chicory coffee!! I wished I lived near bybecause I would be here every day. They told us the history and we told them about our road trip with our fur baby. I've been traveling down i10 my entire life and finally had the pleasure of enjoying the famous beignets. They definitely live... up to the hype. This location is great, low key with easy access (plenty of parking too), stop in and enjoy a Cafe at lait! Read more

Driving home from Florida for Thanksgiving with family. Thought some beignets and coffee would be a nice break. Cafe Du Monde's... reputation made it a no brainer. We stopped and ordered two orders (6) to eat and six for the road. Very good, very fresh. Wejust beat the crowd. It was very busy as we were leaving. I highly recommend for anyone in the area. Great little restaurant. The food is just like the original location in New Orleans, just without the drama of NO. The beignets... were great and the cafe au late was strong and good. The souvenirs were good to find. We were glad to find them while travelingInterstate 12. They seemed to have plenty of employees, unlike many neighboring restaurants. Read more
A must stop when passing through Louisiana. The beignets are made fresh to order. The coffee is available either hot or iced. ... Sodas and milk are also available.
