This is absolutely my favorite Japanese restaurant in the U.S. Great ambiance, adorable & traditional decor, authentic TASTY... food, and the chef and the waitress are Japanese ???? Love this place. Quaint and clean with very friendly service and fantastic flavors Each dish came out and was presented... beautifully. We each tried an appetizer and we liked both of them. He got the picked vegetables and I got the shrimp shusami. I didn?t like being able to see the vein in a shrimp but the flavors were terrific. For the main dish I ordered the chickenkatsu rice bowl and he ordered chicken curry dish. I tried his dish first and LOVED it. The flavors were just so good. I?mfrom San Diego and I have struggled to find a lot of flavor in the food in this area?.. well if you love Japanese food you haveto try this place! I also loved the little side salad and I am just not a soup person so I can?t judge the Miso that came withthe meal. Definitely try! The experience is very personal as well.. i had called to make reservations about a week ago and theycalled me ahead of time to let me know they wouldn?t be open? due to some personal medical thing. We were seeing a play afterthe meal so if we hadn?t gotten that call it would have been a real pain. I think most places would just put up a sign? i lovethat they took the time to call! We?ve eaten here twice now and I?d have to say it?s the best Japanese food around. My favorite is the nabeyaki udon but the... sushi and everything else is amazing. This restaurant has become one of our new regular go-tos, will definitely be back, andhighly recommend!! Read more
Authentic Japanese Restaurant and the best I've been to in years / since New York. My favorites are their lunch and dinner bento... boxes, Tako-Yaki, Yaki-Tori, Don-Buri, and vegetable tempura (plus other vegan appetizers). Their sushi and shashimi isdelicious. Everything looks great / is presented well. Also, their sake is good and they have a nice selection of Japanese beersand other beverages.
