The jerk chicken was too burnt, even with the jerk sauce added. I could still taste the burnt taste. Definitely was not happy... this time around. The curry shrimp that was cooked to order on my last visit was very good though???? Read more

First and last time eating at this establishment. Food wasn't fresh, you can't cut corners when it comes down to serving your... community. Leftovers is unacceptable, throw them out. Do yourself a favor, save your money and your stomach. Only been inbusiness for a year won't last much longer. All their natural juices are watered down. skip the pineapple ginger juice no tasteperiod Read more

First time trying here and was skeptical bc I don't really see it get busy here but I'm so glad I decided to try it. When I... walked I. I was greeted by a sweet woman. Told her I'm new to this type of food and she guided me as to what was what. Spicy isnot my usual but the flavor is amazing. I ordered a small jerk chicken plate and the plate came out huge ???? the Mac and cheeseI feel like is a little mushy for my liking but other then that everything was delicious ???? highly recommend trying it atleast once! First time walking in I wasn?t greeted. I usually don?t make a thing out of that but the next person walked in & they greeted... her. I walked out & left it at that. I decided to return a couple months later. I ordered a jerk chicken plate with TWO CHICKENPATTIES - Once I got home, it was a burnt beef patty & a spinach patty. I specifically ask twice on the phone ?did you get myorder of TWO CHICKEN PATTIES? the woman on the phone said yes. I feel disrespected because at the end of the day I?m a payingcustomer. I love & support black businesses. Ad I?m island as well but this is highly unacceptable. Read more

The place is large and great for dining in. I like the "you see what you get format". All the food is out and waiting for you to... choose. We were served by very pleasant people. We played it safe by ordering a couple of patties and a large jerkchicken. Food was fresh. Veggies were cooked so that they are slightly crisp. Rice and peas were cooked very traditionally. Thepatties were made in house (kind of rare from our experience). As for the flavors. I would say good standard Caribbean food forbeginners, well balanced and not too spicy. If you want to try island foods, this establishment is an excellent start. Based onour experience, if you don't like this food then you don't like Caribbean food. In our experience Caribbean food tends to be significantly spicier and sometimes focuses on in your face flavors. That can be off putting for people who are not used toeating food that rely on complex marinating and spices. We will definitely will be revisiting. Read more

Friendly service but food was a big miss. The jerk chicken was tough, leathery and looked like it was old. The flavor is... non-existent. They didn?t have any plantains ready. Overall, the food on the serving station didn?t really look appealing but Iwanted to support a new, up and coming food spot. No thank you. Read more

I?m not the one for trying new foods. However, I wanted to patronize their business. So I ordered Jerk pork, curry chicken,... cabbage and mac-n-cheese. My husband wanted the curry goat, beans-n-rice, and cabbage. I guess it?s just their ?Island Cuisine?the way they cook their food. The food wasn?t seasoned like we?re used to. And the cabbage was crunchy, and my husband said hisbeans-n-rice was hard. We didn?t eat all of our food; so I doctored up the leftovers. The curry chicken was good, nothing to bedone to it. I seasoned the meats, added seasoning and onions to the cabbage, milk and more cheese to the mac-n-cheese, and Isteamed the cabbage and beans-n-rice (they needed to be cooked longer). I must say; the lady who took my orders was nice andvery patient (I told her it was my 1st time there). The picture is of half of my food that I took out of their to go container. Read more
