A notch above your usual Chinese restaurant experience. The staff is very friendly and eager to please- a couple of them speaks... ar tries to speak Tagalog which is very impressive! I have been coming here for over 10 years, and I got to say this is one of the best canto places to eat Chinese food in West... Covina. They have fresh seafood, lunch menus, and they have a private room too if needed to host some sort of celebration. Theowner is nice and attentive and we had nothing but great service with the staff. Food I had had lunch menu, dinner, and haseven thrown bday dinner event for my kids 1st bday. There is so many great dishes but I wanted to make sure to write down somerecommendations in case anyone was looking for some . Walnut Shrimp - this is one of my favorite dishes here with the walnutand the big pieces of shrimp with the glaze. Must try ! Duck with Bun (pretty sure it?s not the name) they make their own inhouse, and has the shrimp chips as well as oyster sauce and onions to compliment the bun. French Filet Mignon- This has a greatflavor and great with rice After food, they always have either almond jello, or fresh watermelon or oranges. Again it?s alwaysa great experience here, and there is so much food on the menu, you could come each time and order something new. I miss this place. Especially sitting down in the restaurant with the free soup and tea, the condiments like chili oil and... service. It?s just not the same ordering for one or two people either. Ordering as a group and eating family style was the bestpart. Of course we can?t these days and a lot of time has passed since my last visit. That said, I was really craving someclams with black bean sauce and decided to treat myself to some take out. Only bummer was they were out of clams today :( Bummerbut already had some other items in kid and decided to keep the order anyway, just replaced the clams with scallops. Alsoordered the fried calamari with spicy salt and a large hot and sour soup. Everything was delicious, but of course would havepreferred clams to scallops but flavors were on point. 1 star off for not knowing they were out of clams when I first called. Imight have cancelled my order and went back this weekend, but I was already on my way when they called me back. A little harsh Iknow, but I?ll update when I get my clams! Another though would be to offer chili oil and condiments on the side and the optionfor chopsticks over plastic utensils. I would even be fine with no utensils as an option, since I did bring back home to eat.The plastic stuff went in the trash because they got dirty from the sauce and I used chopsticks at home.
