Food was almost burnt, we had grinders and burnt onion rings. Was very surprised by the quality. Use to really enjoy it now... afraid to buy pizza. Read more
Coventry pizza has been decent in the past, enough so that I ordered from them today. I ordered one of their chef specials of... Seafood fra diavolo, asked what was in it was told shrimp, scallops and cod fish. So I ordered, when I get home I realize theyhave calamari and clams in this overcooked super fishy smelling dish. I have an allergy to clams. So I call the restaurant theyput me on hold for the owner. The owner gets on the phone and is argueing with me. She was difficult to understand and so I wentback to the restaurant to get a refund for the meal. I had to wait for employees to find the owner and when they did find hershe proceeds to stand there, make me continue to wait while other employees ring things into the register although I was therewaiting. It was a simple mistake by a new employee who is learning the menu. An owner should be able to acknowledge theirmistake and refund me immediately. There isnt anything to argue about. I work in a restaurant and I would Never treat one of mycustomers the way that I was treated. Telling me it was my fault, I should have said there was a clam allergy, but if clam isntone of the ingredients that Your Employee listed to me AFTER specifically asking the chef what was in it when i ordered thenthat is their mistake. As the Owner you accept fault and give a refund. It's not hard and its basic customer service. I amextremely disappointed with how things were handled tonite and I definitely will Not be returning. I love to support localbusinesses, but this place isnt worthy, the new owner is awful! They charge you ridiculous amounts for any extras. I spent $20on a house salad with grilled chicken, I added mozzarella and 1 hardboiled egg. There was a handful of lettuce, 2 full not cutgrape tomatoes, 2 cucumbers, 3 slices of green pepper, 5 pieces of onion, and about a tablespoon of melted mozzarella for thatprice its ridiculous, but I paid. Food was ok, nothing special. Biggest turn off was the waitress discussing her views on abortion rather loudly. And when asked... how big is the salad, her response was "big enough". Would NOT recommend this place. Read more
We were worried the food wouldn't be the same after the new owners took over but happy to report its still delicious. Reason... for my 4-star vs a 5-star review is the waitress yesterday was pleasant enough but spent the entire time behind the bar eatingand watching TV rather than checking on her multiple customers. We never received drink refills and had to hunt her down forboxes and our check. Will get food to go next time. Read more
