My brother and I spent a night in Comox because we missed a ferry. Friends suggested The Whistle stop for a beer and dinner. We... enjoyed the rustic looking pub atmosphere. The food was great with large portions. I can't wait until the next trip to Comox. Read more

We stopped in here . The fanny bay oysters are delicious!! Cid fish and chips are good too! The calamari not so much. Didn't... seem cooked enough i like mine a little crisper. But overall the service was excellent. Read more

When I first moved to the Comox Valley, one of the things that disappointed me the most was the lack of no nonsense pubs that... had "wing Wednesday". IMO, pubs are incomplete if they 1) don't have daily specials, and 2) sell chicken wings. Thankfully, theWhistle Stop pub has both of these. I am vehemently opposed to paying full price for chicken wings. However, I will alwaysprefer to go to a bar/pub who offers "wing nights", or other specials to give them my business and will try the rest of themenu. The Whistle Stop is not the fanciest pub in the valley, but that's part of the charm of this place. Good food, greatservice, and especially good food and drink specials. Would recommend. Read more
