A truly excellent restaurant, with a wide variety of food and flavours to explore. I had never tried plantain before, and I... loved it. The staff were also a delight to speak with. Great service! We did have drinks appetizers and dessert, so the pricewas well worth it. Read more
We were starting to get hungry while driving most of the day. Mexican cuisine sounded good and Javier's Latin Cuisine popped up... on Google maps. I rated it 5*. Flavour, presentation, atmosphere, cleanliness and very friendly personal service from theowners. Not that hard to grind and well wortha visit. The salsa on the Yucca fries had very distinctive flavour unlike anythingI have tried before. The mole sauce is made in house and is very flavourful. Ample selection of alcoholic beverages. The food here is amazing and the service is wonderful. The atmosphere is very welcoming. We started with some chips and salsa... then had the chicken empanadas; they were filled with the most delicious filling of potatoes and chicken and the shell wasperfectly crispy. Then we had the Mexican ribs and the pork kebabs; the ribs were fall off the bone and so flavorful, the porkwas tender, perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. Both meals came with a delicious and refreshing salad. The sides that camewith both meals were delicious and the portions were on the larger side. We ordered the caramel flan for dessert, it was themost delicious flan I have ever tasted. It's safe to say we left happily full. It was quite busy for a Wednesday and we hear itgets very busy on Fridays and Saturdays but the service never faltered, we had all that and were finished dinner in less than anhour and a half. Stopped here on our vacation in Comox. Really awesome one of a kind place. We had the fried yucca and plantain in Colombian... sauce and veggie empanadas for appetizers and it was all delicious. For main I had the pork kebabs and they were so juicy andtender, covered in really nice spices. The huancaina sauce on the side was so good and something I've never tried before. Wetook the flan caramel to go for dessert and it was also fantastic. The staff were very lovely as well. Great service. After a long day at the fair our family enjoyed an exquisite meal including tasty chicken empenadas and potatoes for appetizers.... Our main dishes were juicy and delicious.
