We ended up having my best friends wedding dinner here due to a late change of plans and Il Falcone accommodated by opening for... us on a Sunday. This was already above and beyond expectations. But then the food, presentation and service was absolutelyincredible! They saved the evening and made a huge impression on everyone in attendance. Stop scrolling and make a reservation already! Last week, our reception dinner venue fell through near last minute for our... wedding. We called Il Falcone and they opened the restaurant for our reception! The whole team there was extremely welcoming andprofessional. Best anywhere! We are Calgarians and went to Il Falcone for our anniversary dinner while on the island for the Second time. It was an amazing... meal. Chef's tasting menu was excellent; well balanced with perfect portion sizes. Paired wines were outstanding andcomplimented the dishes very well. The service was very good. Everyone was kind and attentive. The owner or manager/ somolierwas engaging and descriptive when describing the wines. Overall vibe was relaxed and comfortable, in a garden oasis. I'm told the tables are usually booked weeks in advance by local patrons. So, I guess we were lucky to be able to secure a table... at the last minute. The pace of the service is geared towards the tasting menu with different wine parings. Ordering atwo-course dinner and too exhausted for wine meant that we had to wait quite a while in between the two courses. My seat wasright by the passage way, so my brand new Arc'teryx jacket was infused with the smell of kitchen deep frying which was anunpleasant take-home. Overall, we enjoyed Salumi board, and our main courses. I was able to replace the carbs with vegetableswhich was nice. We did not have dessert because our second course arrive at closing time. Finally made it to this little gem tonight . Regardless of the weather we braved the beautiful patio with the blankets they... provided . Server was lovely and explained the menu to us wonderfully . The hostess was adorable and prompt I wanted to take herhome with me ! Food was amazing and the flavours out of this world! Because it was so busy the food took a little while butworth every minute of the wait ! The owner / bartender is a bloody legend ! Noticed the food was taking a bit and brought usfree glasses of wine that tasted like liquid gold ! 100% recommend this wonderful establishment for both the food and service !Can?t wait to come back and try the chefs choice menu! So many people had recommended Il Falcone to us that when we had a special occasion this was the place we wanted to go and the... meal was everything we could have hoped for. Due to Covid 19 the restaurant posted clear information about how the menu andpricing would work as well as the safety measures in place. Our server gave great descriptions of the offerings plus specialsmaking it hard to make our selections from all the amazing choices. Our appetizers were fantastic; I enjoyed a mussel and prawnbisque and my husband had prosciutto wrapped figs (from the tree we were eating besides) with greens. My main course was lobsterstuffed ravioli and my husband had the seafood risotto and both were so rich and delicious we devoured every mouthful. We optedto indulge in dessert: Bailey's tartufo and caramel + toffee topped pana cotta and they were the best desserts we have had inyears! The service was friendly and we felt appreciated and pampered. It is expensive to eat here so for us it will be a placewe only come for very special meals but we would rather eat out less frequently and save so we can indulge occasionally at IlFalcone where we had a really memorable truly delicious meal!
