Love this place. There were lots of gluten free choices for my friend. The torta de elote was fantastic. Never had that dessert... before. Just the right sweetness. Will be coming here again sooner than later. Read more

Loved finding this gem. If you want a cozy, delicious, high quality food experience with live piano music, this is the place for... you! Come take a load off and enjoy this unique high quality Mexican style restaurant. Everything is made from scratch. Don?texpect the greasy fried food you find at so many local restaurants. The price is worth the quality and the love served behindthe dishes. Read more

Fantastic, authentic Mexican food and excellent Margaritas. The owner, Letisha has been featured on the television series, "Food... is Love." Her tequila tastings are fun and highlight incredible, authentic, Mexican gormet. William Brown Read more

Stopped in for lunch on. Saturday. I was curious if they were open as there wasn't a single car in the parking lot. They were.... There wasn't a single customer inside and I was the only one the entire time I was there. Not a good sign. Good sized place withnice decor and very clean from what I saw. The first negative is you have to pay for chips and salsa. It's the only Mexicanrestaurant I know of that does that. One of the perks of Mexican restaurants is the complimentary chips and salsa! Here you'llpay $4. And they're disappointing. The chips were ok, but the salsa was very bland. I ordered the CARNE CON CHILE as my entree. The pork was super tender! The sauce on the pork was good, not great. At first I didn't like the flavor all that much. I don'tknow if it was vinegar in the sauce, but it had a heavy vinegar type taste to it. It did have a nice spicy kick which I enjoyed. The more I ate of it, the better I liked it. The beans and the corn tortillas were very good. For the price and the fact thatyou have to pay for average at best chips and salsa, I'd choose other options. Read more

If you have not had the pleasure of trying the food at La Chata, you are missing out. Normally my go to is the carnitas.... However, they recently added birria to the menu and it it definitely a must try. You can get it as a taco or as a platter(Birria de Res). The platter is served with birria in consomme with tortillas, beans, onion, cilantro and lime on the side. Themeat is tender and the consomme is flavorful and warming. We finished off dinner with the sweet corn cake (Torta de Elote). Itis served warm with a scoop of ice cream. The cake and ice cream are topped with chocolate sauce and a spicy honey drizzle. Ithas been some time since I have had a desert so pleasantly hit so many flavor profiles while remaining balanced. After desertwe moved to the bar and enjoyed a pleasant conversation with the owner and some other guests. I asked the owner to suggest anice sipping tequila and was referred CaliFino Extra Anejo. Once again this tequila hit the spot in ways I didn't know I needed. It was a smooth but full bodied tequila with a woody finish. Well worth the price. We always enjoy ourselves and each trip wegrow a bit fonder. The atmosphere paired with the Friday night piano and the geniune care of the staff make this place trulyspecial. This isn't your local tex mex with bottomless chips, but that gives you the chance to fully enjoy your meal withoutovereating before you are served. Its more than just a meal. La Chata is an experience that will leave you wanting to come backfor more. Read more
