While I'm not a big fan of chain restaurants, I do love The Capital Grille. It's obviously a little more elevated dining than... your average chain and I always love the old worldly decor in any of the locations I've been to. The one here at South CoastPlaza is lovely and spacious and the food, as always, is delicious. The service was good and not forced, and while there was alittle bit of a wait for the food to come out, it was worth it. I had the Tuna Tartare with Avocado, Mango and Siracha and forthe main, I had the Seared Citrus Salmon and we shared the Au Gratin Potatoes. Everything was really good and we leftabsolutely stuffed. If it's an occasion or a once off, I'd definitely recommend it here. It's a little pricey to come toooften, but when you do, I'm so sure you'll have a great experience as for me, it's very hard to fault. Read more
At the middle of our shopping, We craved for burgers and we went there. It was after 3 pm and they didn’t serve lunch menu but... they did it for us! It was very nice and welcoming. They serve 6 different bread at first! Since we haven’t tried steaks orother food, so can’t review other foods! But nice environment and great waiters! Read more
This has been one of the best restaurants I have eaten at. My wife and I came here for our anniversary. The hostess knew it was... our anniversary from the moment we walked in. The servers did as well. The food was great. Very tender steak and lobster. FULLof flavor. They even gave us an anniversary desert. Will definitely come again for our special occasions. The wagyu steak was very flavorful. Had their roasted mushrooms, asparagus sides. The crab and lobster cake appetizers were... awesome. So was the French onion soup. I love the selection breads there. Read more
Great customer service during our first time here. I recommend making reservations if you are planning on going on a Saturday... night. We decided on this restaurant last minute and all tables were fully committed, so we had to sit in the bar area, whichwas fine for us because we were only a party of two, but would be problematic if you are a larger group as the bar tables aresmall. There is valet, but the parking lot is large, and it's probably not necessary. They provide you with a generous varietyof breads when you are seated. There was a little bit of a wait for the NY strip and sea bass main dishes, but both weredelicious. Side dishes are truly portioned to share, and lobster Mac and mashed potatoes are worth it. The flourless espressocake was a little too rough for me. You could probably share, since it's a large piece for the richness. Read more
We had a valentine's day lunch here and were very satisfied. We shared a tomahawke steak, ceaser salad, and french onion... soup. Every plates was great. Their aged steak was especially great. Full of flavor and beutiful texture. Ambience was goodfor couples and families (maybe not with toddlers) Recommend this place. Read more

I love the classic steakhouse feel of the bar area. They have an exceptional lunch burger, properly cooked temps and its... delicious. They usually have the appropriate games on the weekends and take requests. I never have eaten in main dining room, but it looks appealing. Get the Coconut cream pie Read more
