Reviews for American Dream Pizza Downtown in Corvallis, OR
Pizza is not good. The crust is huge and flavorless while the rest of the pie is soggy. They also cut it into squares for some... reason. Not a fan. The twisty bread was also flavorless and covered with garlic powder to compensate. Not to mention that wepaid $40 for a large pizza. It's just difficult spending that much for pizza that is less than mediocre. Cool place to hang outthough. The roof top dining was very nice. their house beer was also pretty good. I just wish the food would have been better. Read more
Definitely don?t eat here! I ordered only 2 slices of pizza and after a half hour of waiting someone walked around the... restaurant saying my first name caring a box of pizza; given that it was a ?Box? I did not think it was for me since I onlyordered 2 slices of pizza. After around 40 minutes total I went up to the front and asked about my 2 slices of pizza that Iordered, it turns out it was in the box and it?s only 2 slices. They brought it out to me. The pizza was absolutely awful, itliterally truly tasted like tombstone frozen pizza that you can get at any grocery store in the frozen section for a lotcheaper. The tombstone frozen pizza honestly taste better than what I experienced at American Dream Pizza (What a waste ofprecious money!) This was supposed to be a special occasion for me and when I finally ate the pizza After 40 minutes for 2slices I found myself extremely frustrated and upset that the pizza tasted horrible. Everything is expensive these days and Ihave a family, this was the day I was able to get away and do stuff for myself and I won?t have this opportunity again for along time. I can?t express how frustrating it is to have this experience and have basically two slices of pizza which tasteworse than frozen pizza. Literally awful pizza and I can?t believe this pizza joint is still standing. I will never ever eat atthis establishment again and I hope you will read this review and save yourself the money, time and frustration. Please gosomewhere else where I am extremely confident you will have a much better experience. Read more
The homemade cookies are amazing. Pizza by the slice, or whole by size. The art decor keeps changing and sometimes has customer... made art. Good spot for a slice and a beer. Oh yeah, they serve beer, and ciders! And have rooftop access. Read more
The service, staff, and overall quality has several deteriorated. This past weekend we visited twice. Friday they messed up 4... slices of pizza. 35 minutes later I had to go check what was going on. A very rude lady said they had messed up and had to makethem again. Why didn?t you tell me you messed up? Set the customer expectation PROPERLY. Whoever the real manager is, was notthere this weekend and it was terrible. Sunday the wait was so unbearable, and yet again they delivered the wrong slices ofpizza after a 45+ minute wait. It doesn?t take long to throw a few pre made slices in a 600 degree oven, and it shouldn?t takelong when you communicate that is was only going to take 10-15 minutes. Trash service, trash customer service, terriblecustomer experiences. Never have I felt so defeated since the dreaded bartenders at Flattail. Word of advice. Do better. Trainbetter. Get people that actually want to work. You make enough money to pay employees well so you can withhold your bradreputation. As of lately, y?all are trash. Food isn?t good. Never actually good. Is there any garlic butter on the crustanymore? Ranch is watery. Right now they suck! Read more
Partner and I ordered a slice each- his was feta and caramelized onions, mine was mushrooms and fresh mozzarella. After 30 mins... wait they had accidentally given my slice to the wrong person, who took a bite and they had to remake it...no big deal, accidents happen. Partner's pizza was great. 5 minutes later, I get a slice of precooked cheese pizza with about a cup of barelywarm raw mushrooms and 3 small flecks of warm (but not melted) mozzarella on top of it. They did give us free cookies to make upfor the wait, but I guess I didn't know that the pizza toppings wouldn't be baked onto the pizza? It wasn't just my sliceeither, I saw a "black olive" slice that was just a literal pyramid of olives dumped onto a slice of precooked cheese pizza. Read more
Great food, good service, and a fun time. Got a large pepperoni pizza and ate downstairs. The food took 20-30 mins to receive... food. It wasn?t too crowded and the large pizza was great for three hungry people. Overall, would go again. Read more
I have been dreaming of the day I'd get to eat one of these amazing pizza's since I graduated. This was my go-to spot for... whatever occasion, back in the day when I lived in Corvallis. So I trekked my way down to this lil ol' college town just to graba slice. And ended up with a whole pizza. I ordered a large pepperoni with half pineapple and half jalapenos, nothin' fancy. Idined in instead of taking out, and it was a Saturday evening so I figured I'd be waiting a while. I'm super glad I got a RoseWine from Bold Leaf (by Two Towns Ciderhouse) to help alleviate my hunger. After 35 minutes, my pizza came out hot and ready forme to devour. I wish I could say it was as delish as I remembered, but alas I had to knock it down a star because it waswaaayyyy overbaked. The outer crust was super crunchy, almost inedible. What wasn't overcooked was just as fabulous as Iremembered it. Not overly greasy. I did find the addition of jalapenos to be very limited - they added way more pineapple thanthat. Easy fix. I just used a lot more crushed pepper flakes than I liked. Overall, I enjoyed my pizza. I was very happy withall the leftovers I walked out with. :) Read more
Great pizza by the slice. Reasonable prices, and a decent selection of beers on tap. Definitely caterers to the college crowd,... but still a great place for families and those of us with a little more grey hair. They also have dairy free options that arereally good for those that need them. Read more
