Where to begin!?! As you walk in you are promptly greeted by friendly hostesses and can immediately feel the fabulous vibe all... around. The renovation of the building is extremely top notch and truly makes for a perfect atmosphere for any day or nightout. We have thoroughly enjoyed any of the places we've been seated for our many visits. During the warmer months, seatingoutside is a real treat and an experience all by itself. We have also enjoyed the dining room and the bar area. No matter ourvisit we have enjoyed stellar service and outstanding food. The pace is always perfect, receiving our food in a timely butrelaxed manner, so we may enjoy our food to the fullest. Their crafted cocktails are delightful, and the wine list is ????. Personal menu favorites include the veal livornese, margherita pizza, crab and scallop stuffed flounder, and the pappardellebolognese. ???? Always a wonderful experience leaving us full and satisfied. 11/2022 - What happened? My husband, daughterand I went to what used to be our favorite place to eat. We were so disappointed. Our wings came to the table still cold, andour pizza, while still tasty, was on the soupy side. The table next to us had undercooked food as well... Management did makethings right by us, but the food just wasn't even close to what it used to be. I am hoping this is just a fluke thing, but inthe recent past there have been other oddities (expired beer, etc.) that have seemed off. I really hope they can turn thingsaround. Read more
Absolutely not. I?ve had WAY better luck at Olive Garden. Literally. For the prices, this place is a literal joke. It?s tries to... be fancy but it is no more elegant than a Denny?s. I think the 5 star reviews are made by the restaurant?.. I suppose that isthe best you will get in Cortland, NY. My family and I waited 30 minutes. 30 whole minutes for a server to acknowledge us. Evenif you?re busy, you drop of bread and drinks, it?s common sense. We were brought cold bread with unseasoned olive oil, very lowquality everything. Our food came out, lasagna was cold, salty and the sauce was so dark it almost looked brown. The shrimpscallop scampi was foul. UNDERCOOKED SEAFOOD is very distasteful. My scallops were so slimy and sour with grainy pasta and lackof flavor. The server told me they would take my entree off the bill, then only took 1/2 the amount off? The servers didtheir best but they were very understaffed and this is unfair to them. If you are too busy to properly serve guests, you stopaccepting new tables; common sense The chef was in a bad mood, and the dining room guests were constantly complaining. When youcharge $30 a plate, you need to have the service and reputation to back it up. Absolutely atrocious. I try to leave honestreviews without being dramatic but this was a dramatic experience. Birthday dinner. Offered different menu from other patrons with limited options. Meatballs tasted like they were the kind you... get at bjs made in a factory. Pasta was lukewarm. Bread offered once we had our meals. Could not bring myself to takeleftovers home. Will not be back. Horrible experience. Read more
Had to go get waiter for service. They never came over. Appetizer was good. I almost choked on the plastic wrap that my lasagna... was in. I can't believe the whole thing was just left on. They did take it off the bill. However they didn't apologize to meuntil my friend made them. The waitress kept apologizing to her, even though we clearly said it happened to me. Read more
Although only 1 of 3 tables seated waited 20 min to have any staff come by for even water. Other 2 tables had order taken and... food delivered. On the bright side, the portion size for price were outstanding. Read more
My husband and I had the best time here. It?s so nice to have a more upscale restaurant here in Cortland to escape to for a date... night. The food was delicious, the atmosphere is so welcoming, and the 20 layer crepe cake... forget about it! It was one of thebest desserts I?ve had. You won?t be disappointed... give Mangia a try! We have been to Mangia several times and has always been just ok. Well tonight was just awful. Service was terrible, sat for... twenty minutes before being acknowledged. Never got bread, never was told specials, waited forever to place our drink order.Then placed another drink order that came when we were done with our meals. I ordered the 30 doy aged steak. It was terrible,tough and chewy with no flavor. I'm pretty sure it was not aged. Wife got a tortellini dish whis was spicy but void of anyflavor. We will not give this restaurant another chance.
