Glad we stopped here - hard to find dining around 9 pm but we were glad we stopped - it was not very busy. We enjoyed some... tasty beers - Red Ale was super good. A Cheddar & Bacon burger with a steak salad. Sarah was attentive and efficient. Our server was excellent. My partner ordered rib eye. It was cooked perfectly and really good. I ordered the brisket which was... a mistake. It was TOUGH. The sweet potato fries were great too. Mess Verde NP is great. Get a reservation for Long House. About a mile trek, part paved part gravel. 56 concrete steps. Well... worth it. The two 15-foot ladders at the dwelling can be avoided. Read more

The waitress was nice but I believe they were understaffed. The food was good but not great. Nachos were barely warm and so... was my beer. I think my side salad say's it all. It was there, it tasted fine, but in the end it was just adiquat and nothingspecial. I feel like we may have caught them on a bad night based on other reviews. It just wasn't the best meal to us. I took my family to this restaurant yesterday and I will have to say I can now see why no one recommend this place. It took over... an hour to get our food and then when it did finally come it looked like they cooked it for the last hour. No one came andapologized for it taking so long or offered something simple like chips to eat while we waited. The burger had only one tasteand that was burnt and the fries had grease dripping out of them. The lettuce had dark spots on it and my bun had what lookedlike a bite mark on it. The chicken was so over cooked that we couldn't even eat it. The corn and mashed potatoes was okay toeat but we ended up leaving almost all the food as we couldn't eat it. Read more
