Ordered a 1/4 brisket and the bartender purposely gave me 4 tiny dried out pieces of beef (looked like jerky). He noticed I was... took back from what he just placed in front of me and he snickered. I asked him if there was some juicier meat in the back andhe told me that I never specified what type of slices I wanted and that most people enjoy the well done side of the brisket. I would consider myself a connoisseur of Bar B que. I would have to say this is the best BBQ I have had at a restaurant. I... had the Brisket and the baby back ribs with Mac and cheese and coleslaw. The brisket was an 8 ounce slice of the point. It wasawesome. You could really taste the smoky oak, super moist and tender. The Ribs were how I like them. I bit of bark on themfrom the smoking. Most BBQ places wrap the ribs too much (cheating) so you get that fall off the bone meat, but you lose thesmoky Bark. Not at this place. The ribs are tender but with the proper texture from the smoking process. Outstanding job! The coleslaw was just OK the MAC was good, but the Meat was 5 star all the way. Read more

Giant salad with pulled pork on the side. Salad was great. Organic too. Lots of sauces on the table. Smiles from the staff. Lots... of seating options. Giants game was on. Try the 5$ rootbeer. It was awesome. Fun time. I would go back. Read more

This barbecue is some of the best in the Bay Area, despite the restaurant's suburban location, so don't let that fool you. As... shown by the chalkboard in the restaurant's entrance, chef and proprietor Damon Stainbrook places a high priority on obtainingmeat that has been raised without the use of any hormones or inhumane practices. The service at the counter is warm, casual, andfriendly, and the rest of the space in the restaurant is decorated with rustic wood tables laden with homemade regional hotsauces. On their mouthwatering menu, there is really no such thing as a bad choice to make. Imagine the likes of pulled porkthat melts in your mouth, brisket that has been smoked for 18 hours, ribs that are perfectly moist and dry-rubbed, and juicyhotlinks that are bursting with flavor. Loved the beef brisket sandwich with white cheddar mac & cheese. You can really taste the wood flavor on the brisket.

The review is only for the brisket. Overall, I found the brisket to be great. It had a terrific smoky flavor and the meat was... very tender and juicy. The beautiful pink ring shows the brisket was prepared perfectly. I would have given 4.5 stars if it werean option. I didn?t give it 5 stars because I?m comparing this BBQ to the ones I?ve had In Kansas City, MO (Jack Stack and Q39).The photo is of the brisket I reheated in the oven after buying it about 6 hours prior. The BBQ sauce they provided was tasty aswell, one was mild and one was moderately spicy. I felt that the quality of the brisket was better in Corte Madera vs theEmeryville location. Read more

Been wanting to try this place for a while now and glad I finally got a chance too. Today I got marbled brisket and ribs with a... side of corn bread. The brisket had a nice smoke ring with a good smoke flavor, very tender and juicy. Ribs were smoked just theway I like it great dark bark and tender meat, not quite fall off the bone but still very good. Cornbread was moist and full offlavor. Read more
