I was excited to see this bakery for the first time. I'm familiar with their fruitcakes and want to see and purchase other... goodies I can't find elsewhere. I entered the store and began looking around. no staff members acknowledged me or asked if werequired assistance. Usually that's fine with me but this time I had questions, but there was no interest in me as a customer.We we're 15 minutes from the closing time so that might have something to do with employees not helping me. I made a selectionand went to the register. There were two customers ahead of me. One of the customers had difficulty with their order. Twoemployees stood there and didn't acknowledge the other customers. After waiting more than 10 minutes I had to leave withoutmaking a purchase. Read more
I been going here off and on for probably over 20 years. I don't know if any other reviewers have mentioned it, but at least... several years ago they were on the list for best restrooms in the country. Not only are they always clean but there is marbleeverywhere and the doors to the individual toilets have beautiful real wooden shutter doors. They also have good bakeryproducts although they have changed the set up and small tables to eat on. There is a nice outdoor patio area with tables to eaton in good weather. They were also famous for having 10 cent coffee, but that is gone too. I remember the food as being better,but perhaps that's me just being an old timer. Read more
Look at this adorable tiny fruitcake!!! ?? I stopped in on my way to visit my folks to grab my dad a fruitcake and some lunch,... and I'll be darned if they didn't make me the best chicken salad sandwich I've ever eaten (and I'm a long-distance driver, sotrust me when I say I've eaten A LOT of chicken salad sandwiches.) The people are super nice, and everything smells delicious! Ican't attest to the fruitcake just because I absolutely loathe fruitcake in general, but my parents sure do love it! Read more
So happy we stopped by on Wednesday evening! The staff was absolutely sweeter than pie and so helpful. Outsold highway rest... stops in every way possible!! Clean bathrooms! Smells amazing when you walk in. Delicious and fresh products, smiles from everysingle employee. My daughter commented that she wanted to work here when she was their ages because they all looked so happy???????? WE WILL BE BACK!! Read more

Beautiful, cozy, friendly place with a large selection of yummy and unique baked goods. The pecan bread is not sweet - and it?s... great used as a sandwich, with their chicken salad. The refrigerator cookies are dense and chewy. Read more
I stop by anytime I'm in the area. They are famous for their fruitcake but the cookies are amazing! Check out the seconds store... around the corner for fruitcake that tastes the same but might not be as pretty and costs less. Read more
