I work on a tow boat and was injured on October 25th 2022. After being released from hospital, I was put in Days Inn behind... this Whataburger until transportation could be given to return home. Although this restaurant states it is open 24 hours, at3am the doors were locked and was told to go through drive through. When trying to order through drive through, I was told,because I was not in a vehicle they would not serve me, even after explaining my circumstances. Can't believe it took me this long to finally try Whataburger. On the way to Corpus Christi, I was suggesting to my wife we... give it a try and we saw so much on the way. Thankfully, we were very close to one where we were staying! We had a big orderfor 7 people. The staff were more than happy to help us, which I can't say about other places when you make a big order. Weordered everything from a salad, to a melt, burgers and chicken strips. We were not disappointed. Chicken strips were biggestsurprise as it was not a pre formed processes strip. First whataburger to ever have lobby closed. I've seen others that have it closed and open as soon as they have a customer... trying to get in. However this location clearly saw me and didn't even acknowledge me. I would've understood if they hadconstruction going on otherwise why isn't it open like every other is? Was here 18th of August. About 4:30pm ,came in from San Antonio. And I got to say the young man at register was very nice and... pilote. I come from a big city and hard to find people like this man who actually greets the customer with a smile. I love theservice here and I was very happy also with the food. Really great service! One of the guys working actually came over and made sure he knew how we wanted our order. A manager was... also very personable. Food was really great and tasted fresh. The burger we had was perfectly and nearly assembled, and not just thrown together. Our salads had everything in them, and in... the right proportions. The dinner table was clean, and the staff would come around and ask if we needed anything. The onlydownside was the white chocolate raspberry shake has no flavor, but that was probably a corporate decision to cut corners,rather than the staff. The shake itself was well made, but maybe a bit thinner and more runny than most people wouldprefer. As far as the atmosphere rating, it's a Whataburger. Read more
