Reviews for South Flo Pizza In H-E-B in Corpus Christi, TX
This pizza is on the Dominos, Papa Johns, Pizza Hut, Marco?s level. It had an interesting kinda smoky taste and the crust was... soft to the point where you could fold it like a taco, I liked that. Overall it?s a good change from from the norm. Willdefinitely go back. Read more
I have to say that I was very surprised with the taste of this pizza! I got a pepperoni and jalapeño and a ham and pineapple... and they tasted great! Plus, the price is very reasonable. I?ve been disappointed with local pizza and now I know where I?ll begetting it. It has a great smoky flavor. Read more
2/3/22: This place is actually legit. I wasn?t expecting much but I am happily surprised. I am doing some H?E?B shopping rn and... got hungry, I thought this place was more of a pizza stand and maybe sold pizza by the slice. It doesn?t, but I bought a fullpizza anyways and my brother and I are taking a pizza break instead. We really like it! I actually think it?s better than Sal?sBronx pizza ???? The guys behind the counter were really nice and the girl was super sweet and helpful. We will definitely comeagain. **Edit** 2/4/22: I came back today and bought 2 large all-meat pizzas for the rest of my family to try. I needed theiropinion and I had to ensure my initial thoughts about this place wasn?t based on chance. So, I ate another slice again, today?and my thoughts about South Flo hold firm. And my mom and brothers agree with me too, this is probably the best pizza place inCorpus. (My dad is partial to deep dish, and didn?t share the same ?best pizza place in town? opinion) But if you?ve ever beento NY and enjoyed a traditional slice from any of the boroughs, you?ll see what I mean. south flo pizza tastes like a veryauthentic NY style pizza? Which means, light sauce and it?s floppy so one must fold it to enjoy. South Flo slices aren?t as wideor large as a traditional NY slice, but that might be the only discrepancy- which I really don?t mind tbh. Truly an underratedpizza stand ? But I must emphasize, South Flo serves very authentic NY style pizza, and just keep in mind that the authentic NYstyle isn?t for everyone. With that being said, there is no other pizza place in corpus or the surrounding area who serves pizzaremotely similar to South Flo or to that of the traditional New York style. A traditional NY style pizza iiiis thin, with lightsauce, floppy, and yeah- it can be kinda greasy. So maybe NY style pizza just isn?t your style ??????????? and that?s ok. ButSouth Flo really is as authentic as you can get, and there isn?t another pizza place in Co Read more
Been meaning to try their pizza for a while. Placed an order to pick up and was told it?d be ready in about 15 minutes. It was... ready when I arrived. They did forget the dessert I added on, and they had to pull it out from the back. No big deal. The pizzawas just okay. The pricing is a pretty good deal, especially for the specialty pizzas, but I think I?ll stick to some of thelocal spots in town. Read more
Ordered a couple pizzas tonight. We got the Spicy Hawaiian but they forgot to put the spicy drizzle on top. We ordered a meat... supreme and it was pretty good, but this in the picture was suppose to be a Margarita pizza. I don?t know what the heck this is.Not a single time did the pizza get tipped. The other 2 were just fine. This looks disgusting. Looks nothing like what aMargarita pizza should look like. I have no clue what this is why they thought this was acceptable to give to a customer. The first time I attempted to order a pizza here, there was some confusion, as I was told there would be a 40 min wait, and... after waiting 40 minutes I went to the counter and was told they must have forgotten to cook my pizza. The staff was kind andapologetic and mistakes happen, so I simply canceled my order and went to my usual pizza spot. A few months later I decided togive it a second chance. I ordered a large cheese pizza and a large meat lovers, with extra sauce, extra cheese, all of the meatto be placed on top of the cheese, and for the pizzas to be cooked well done. When we got home, we excitingly opened the pizzato find there was 100% no sauce on either pizza (I don?t mean light sauce, there was absolutely no sauce on the pizza), the meatpizza was not sliced, the toppings on the meat pizza were buried under the cheese, and the cheese pizza had onions on it. To topit off, the dough was about as supportive as a wet tissue. We called to have our order remade, and the employee rudely told mehow I asked for onions on the cheese pizza, which I explained, is not true, as I hate onions, and would never order onions, andthat I ordered them without sauce, which again, is not true. After telling the employee about the other issues, the employee letout a long sigh and stated: ?well what do you want me to do? We made them how you ordered them, if you want something different, then order it right next time.? I was completely shocked at this response. After this rude and uncalled for interaction, Ithanked them for their time, hung up, and again, went to my usual pizza spot. So to anyone considering eating here, based on my2 experiences at South Flo, I?d recommend one of the many other pizza options available. Read more
I am a favor runner and I picked up a pizza from here for the first time, when I saw it come out I thought ooooo that looks... good. My wife and I drove from the Annaville area to get our own pizza from here 1 meat supreme, 1 pepperoni, and a cheesepizza, we were excited to get home to try it. When we got home, we all got a slice and threw most of it away. 30 dollars downthe drain, the pizza was nothing but grease, no sauce, the taste was horrendous, would never recommend this place. I wouldrather eat a Tony?s pizza then this. I gave two stars just for LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING. Read more
Very chewy. Got chicken /bbq/bacon and meat lovers. Looks good. Not as crispy crust.
