Boat N Net is a fast food spot that serves fried fish, shrimp, and chicken. It's good. They also have chicken nuggets, mostly a... kids item. This a cool spot if your in a hurry, on a budget, and like fish. Prices are very reasonable. Probably one of the lastplaces who have not raised prices. You can get a meal anywhere from 7.99-8.99, only drink is not included. Only two locationsleft in Corpus, One on Kostoryz and one on Port. They have shut down locations. Read more
I haven't eaten here in a while, was in the mood I should have just kept on driving! As far as the one on Kostoryz, what a waste... of money! Shrimp was tough, they seem like they've been there for a while definitely not fresh, same with the fish, way overcooked and also was had been sitting, I took 1 bite of each and threw the plate away. They raise the price to keep up witheveryone else yet the quality was terrible, just waisted $11 3 fish and 3 shrimp, I wouldn't even feed that to a strayanimal. Stick with Banda's or King seafood because this one was about as good as the upkeep of the building is... straightnasty! Read more
Food is great, but I?m concern on what the inside of the restaurant looks like if the outside is bad. Intercom is PVC pipe and... with the amount of consumer come in you?d imagine for a decent paint outside or a working speaker. Makes me wonder the amount ofbugs that crawl in and out of the restaurant with that set up. And I?m scared to look in the actual kitchen. Read more
The food was Trash cooked in old grease. The building and microphone should be a red flag. I would not feed that food to my... animals much less people. I will never return and the people working not professional. Read more
Boat n net is officially dead to me! This place used to be an absolute gem. Now everything is horrible, they took away... everything that's been great about this place. Back in the day you used to get your meal in a little paper box with the logosall around, it was awesome, now you get Chinese styrofoam boxes. It is officially time for this place to either close downcompletely or step up your game the way it used to be. And for the food I wouldn't even feed it to my dog. Read more
This place is a mystery. The windows are closed up so you can't see inside. My assumption is so you don't see the magic required... to make that awesome tartar sauce and food. The young girl was a little rude and just gave me my food and closed the window. Most places say Thank you to let you know you got all your food and can take off. This girl just gave me the food and left mewondering since I had a large order. It wasn't a problem because again.....the food was good so I guess she felt like she couldjust close it on my face. It was actually kinda funny because when you add up the blocked window and the fact that you orderfrom a pipe pointed at your face, it makes sense. Boat 'n Net is one of those things that is a staple in your life when you are born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. I lived... on Sarita Street and just a few blocks away on Port was our Boat 'n Net. Mom wouldn't let us have it very often because it'sfast food but every once in a while Dad would surprise us with shrimp! There's a lot of good memories tied up with thisrestaurant. I remember a few years ago I heard the owners had passed away and their son was going to close it down and sell itoff. Pretty much everybody I know who is a native Corpus Christian was upset about that possibility. I remember consoling a fewfriends on Facebook when we heard that the restaurant was going to close. Eventually, the son did not close all of therestaurants down, just a few. So out of nostalgia and starvation I went to Boat N Net to get dinner. My favorite is usually thesix shrimp with the french fries, I think it is the number seven. But I was starving and so I went for the 12 shrimp. I ended upwith about 18 pieces of fish and fries. Not the order that I put in, which is alright, I mean mistakes happen. The french frieswere as good as I remember them being and the fish was pretty good too. But seriously when is this current owner going to takesome pride in the Boat N Net appearance? Why does it have to look so bedraggled and nasty? Why can't it look like a nice littleplace to go to and get some fast food Seafood? The reason why this restaurant gets three stars for me is because the employeeswere very nice and the food was good. However, they lost 2 stars because my order was wrong and the place just looks nasty andcockroach-infested. I'm not so sure I will eat there again. Maybe the past is good enough to stay in the past. I was amazed at how moist and delicious the chicken was. Definitely recommend it. We also had the fish and shrimp box. Love the... rolls-hope they don't get rid of them. It was busy and the young ladies handled it like pros thumbs up ???? . Only drawback,one roll for the 18 pieces of fish or shrimp. ONE roll??? I had to pay for extra rolls.
