Reviews for Boney's Bayside Market in Coronado, CA
Boney's Bayside Market is a wonderful local business that offers a tremendous selection of high quality food at reasonable... prices! It's not hard to find healthy food to eat in Southern California - we're lucky in that regard. Prices, on the otherhand....tend to be extreme, especially in an area like Coronado. Boney's, however, looks to buck the trend of overpricedsustenance. As many other reviewers have noted, the combination of fantastic food and great prices at the deli in particular isunbeatable. Every ingredient is top notch, from the locally baked focaccia to the Boar's Head meats and cheeses. I almosthesitate to write about the prices because I don't want the secret getting out....but my favorite sandwich is only $5.95 - andit comes with avocado!! And these puppies are huge...it's unbelievable. It does get very busy around lunch time though, soorder ahead or visit during off-peak hours. The soups and smoothies are also wonderful, though the sandwiches are the truetreasure if you ask me. The store also has a small but super reliable selection of raw meats and fish, super reliable produceand an extensive selection of specialty foods and supplements. Kind of like a Trade Joe's. In short - my recommendation is togo for the deli, and knock out some basic shopping while you wait for your treasure. Read more
Love the natural food selection. Go to the dry nut section! You will be delighted.
Went to shop the other day for some deli sandwiches and they were the best in town. I discovered that they carry different types... of organic products and fresh meats. But the best of all was the customer service that I received during check out. Gilbertowent out of his way to help me out in finding the right product I was looking for. He was very help and kind. I saw theexpericence he has behind the cash register and how he is an asset to the store. Good job Gilbert, I'll definetly be back. Read more
It?s very difficult to find many gluten free options on the island. Vons and Smart and final lack having gluten free options,... making it difficult to find anything to eat. We live on a boat, and spend a days a week here in Coronado. We recently decided tostop in to check what they had and was super excited to see all the options available. So many options! Although wonderful, theonly down side, they do not offer food stamps, so I am limited to come in and only get what the other two stores may notoffer Very clean store, great customer service. Watch the ?gluten free? labeling, found a Amy?s soup labeled gluten free, whenit clearly said wheat. Read more
I love this cute local market. It located at a very nice spot, a couple blocks to the ferry landing pier. It?s convenient for... people to grab and go. The market is not big, but it has all people need, with good and various products. There?re a lot oflocal things that you can find at this place, such as the local wines, beers and pastries. I am so looking forward to trying theCoronado local wines which has a lovely Coronado Island map on the label. I heard their deli food is great too, I?ll grab asandwich next time I go there. By the way, I really love their paper bag?s illustration graphic. To be honestly, my husbandthought it was my drawing at the beginning since my art style is so similar to that. It is beautiful artwork for this cutemarket! I love it. Read more
