Our family of 7 went last night for dinner; it was the first visit for 5 of us. The server was A+. I wish I could remember her... name, she was phenomenal. The food was excellent. Happy hour deals (Monday-Friday 3-7pm) The restaurant is a little hidden, behind Lowe's across Residence Inn. The happy hour... portions are reasonably priced. First time to this place and it didn't let me down. Taken on the recommendation of an acquaintance it is an upscale (atmosphere... and presentation) Mexican fare restaurant. The one thing that is not upscale is the price. Plates were in the 20+ dollar rangebut were delivered as if they were $40. The atmosphere was great and the service was even better. One of the few times mydrinks were replaced before they were empty and never had to ask. The waitress new her job and performed it very well. Thesalsa was great with a garlic flair as was the homemade guac. The corn chowder was rich and flavorful though it would be niceto have some more texture to it. I have the tequila fired shrimp. They were delicious. It was topped over a bed of whatappeared to be lightly cooked squash and stuff with a cream sauce. The rice was perfectly cooked and seasoned as well. Notusually mentioned in a review is the restroom which was clean and tidy. The art on the walls is great (see pics) and it is easyto feel at home here.
