This place was okay. Our party of 9 was seated relatively quickly and appetizers came out pretty fast as well - options for... vegetarians available. However, our entrees took an extremely long time to come out, and our server provided no updates on whenwe?d get our food as he seemed pretty distracted by some of his female coworkers. Although we were seated at 730pm, we didn?tget our entrees until 9pm (closing time). Most of us ordered the fish of the day which cost us $32 each - and it was prettyunderwhelming. Cuts of fish were tiny, some of the rice was undercooked, and the portion was very small. We were done by 9:10.Maybe smaller parties have more success - but I personally wouldn?t recommend this place. Read more

Nothing short of 5 stares here! Outdoor dining upstairs on the deck on a perfect night. We each had a delicious beverage to... start along with an appetizer to share. Best fried green tomatoes we?ve ever had! Then dinner?.Southern Seafood Boil servedover grits was excellent. Very tasty but not heavy. The shrimp and scallop dish over pesto pasta was also a great choice. Noroom for dessert but we brought home the key lime pie for later. Wow! Thanks Upside for a wonderful Dinner and great servicefrom Veronica. She was able to describe each item we ordered and answered all our questions. Read more

Bartender was cheerful, Was looking for a place for a good burger, I asked for a different kind of cheese and for it to be made... medium rare. Waited a while for it to come out but I was okay with that given the situation these days when it came out thetemperature was more medium / Well-done than rare. Bartender never came back over to ask me how it was or if there was anythingelse that she can do. Burger did come out with good taste, Even though the temperature was wrong. This was our first time trying this restaurant. The wait was about an hour during the busy season but they have a decent call... ahead system where you can walk around the local area until your table is ready. The seating up top has a great view and it?svery breezy. The mixed drinks were good and the salads were good as well. However my fried fish was bone dry and the bread wasstale as was the bread on another sandwich. That was a little disappointing. Read more

We had some amazing fish here. The tile was delicious and the tuna was incredible. They were able to seat our party of 5 within... 30 minutes on a Saturday evening and the server was friendly and helpful. Read more

Food was incredibly under seasoned and some of the food tasted as if it had been placed under hot lamps for a long time. For the... price flavor, and presentation was not up to par. The crab cakes were more mac and cheese than crab, but the fried oysters weredelicious. Read more

Overall, we enjoyed the atmosphere -- outside with party lights. Food, not so much. Expensive and quality varied a lot. Fish... that was special of the day was supposedly snapper, but it was so overdone that who could tell? Coconut rice did not complementwell. Came with some cucumber slices, but they were shaved thin and there were maybe seven of them. Salmon was okay, but justokay. Veggie pasta had very few vegetables and looked like it was made with Velveeta. Calamari was good. Hushpuppies were good,but pricey. Forget the three dip thing as an appetizer. Wine at $11/glass was a very short pour. $12 martinis had virtually noimpact at all (supposedly measured, but did they water it down?), and waiter asked about an extra olive without mentioning thatthey would be $2 extra, so don't order one $14 martini. Add shrimp to a salad for and extra $9? Plan on spending $2.25/shrimpbecause there were 4, although they were nice, but the Upside salad left a lot to be desired. Seemed like the best thingsordered at our table at a beach side restaurant were the pork chop, the chicken tenders, and the beef sliders. Be sure to lookat the check because if you have a large party as we did, the gratuity is included. And that is fine and quite typical, but payattention. We had eleven at the table and granted we had several drinks, but our bill was just shy or $600. Look around beforeyou settle on this spot. Read more

I?ve been here twice (once for lunch and once for dinner.) The lunch experience was great- affordable, delicious! However, the... dinner experience? I waited 20 mins for them to open at 5:30. It was first come first serve which is a bit inconvenient but itworked out for me and my friends. We sat down outdoors and took a look at the menu? shocked. There were only 10 or 11 options onthe menu that were actually food (not including dessert or drinks.) we ordered the calamari, and although it was a hefty $18,the chefs were not generous with the food- a small plate with only 10 calamari pieces. I guess it was good but not worth it. Therest of the food was mediocre- but for the prices we paid for and the amount of time we had to wait it was definitely not worthit. After 1 hour of sitting there. Only one group of people got their entrees. They also changed some items I liked on the menuwhich was disappointing. The only great thing was the kind waiter we had who kept us supplied with lots of water in this hotweather! Thank you for the kind staff. Otherwise will not come again. Disappointed about removing most of the stuff I like offthe menus. Read more
