The reason for my negative review is not based on the food but the service. We arrived as a group of 8 at 11:30 today. The... restaurant was empty, they said we could not sit together, which was okay. We decided to split up our party. We realize being 8last min is hard to accommodate for a small restaurant. However the staff started talking about us in the kitchen. The languagewas foul, and went on and on. This made us very angry. We heard every word. The food is great here, but because of this incidentwe cannot and will not recommend this place to anyone. We left out of fear of having our food spit in. Whoever owns thisestablishment should know that this was a terrible incident that reflects very badly on his business. Read more
I wish I took a picture of the food. Had the Chicken soup and zucchini salad with shrimp. Absolutely inspiring! The place was so... CLEAN! They even sanitized the seat of the booth! Met chef Carson, he mentioned he moved the restaurant from accross town, thenunder a different concept. The first time for mussels in Cornwall. The Birchwood got it right, the mussels were tasty with the wine broth, it made a nice... soup in the end. The price is good and food quality excellent.
