Definitely make this a pit stop if you drive through Tennessee. They say pop's BBQ is world famous, it is very good. But the... character of this place is what really sets it apart. And the service oh I can't even begin to tell you how pleasant and politethey were. we ordered more than just a barbecue and all of it was good the breakfast foods french fries Burger whatever you getand so much of it huge plates of food. The Tennessean Truck stop is a truly wonderful place to visit. Unlike most modern Truck Stops, Which are almost always a... corporate(made with a cookie cutter)model that's almost always pretty similar. The Tennessean Truck Stop is a mom and pop ownedplace. That surprisingly has a wide variety of different items they offer to the public. It's one of the few remaining placesthat have a completely separate entrance for Truck drivers. The Driver's only entrance, takes you to a couple of restrooms, alaundromat,Showers and a couple of arcade games. Plus place to just sit and relax. The Tennessean also has a restaurant , Its afresh BBQ themed restaurant. I love the pulled pork, I would recommend it to anyone. Read more
Friendly staff, clean facilities, good food. Would have given it 5 stars but the buffet needed some attention and an employee... came and looked at it but there was no salad in the bar. It was about 9pm but when you pay for the bar, you expect to be able tofind salad too. Read more
I really love this place. It's got a huge parking area for truck drivers. The front exterior was very welcoming with their Amish... made rocking chairs. Very beautiful work! When you step inside, you don't know which way to look or turn. They have sooo muchstuff! Love it! The restrooms were fairly clean. The restaurant offers real down home cooking at a great price. Once youfinished that, you go outside to their ice cream parlor for your dessert. Yummy! They have showers for $10. Very clean andfairly large. They have two washers and two dryers. Each load is $1.50 per load. They also have a dog park! Excellent! Thepeople working were very friendly, attentive, and helpful. Will certainly be back again! Read more
I did my 34-hour restart here. I really enjoyed the experience. The buffet was good and the store was very nostalgic. They had... treats I haven't seen since I was a child and an ice cream bar. I was kind of hurt to hear they were closed. Hopefully they areonly closed for updating Read more
