The fried chicken sandwich was so good I will be dreaming about it. We had the chowder and burgers as well which where great but... the chicken sandwich was to die for. Safe was very friendly and I like they support local artists. Read more
Fish tacos were greasy and overly breaded and lacked flavour. Salad was boring (lettuce, tomato, onion, carrot) and used Kraft... dressing. French dip sandwich tasted like packaged beef gravy with roast beef sandwich meat. Mango salad was sad; lacked mango,walnuts and goat cheese and again used Kraft dressing. We had a reservation for 6:30 and showed up at the booked time. The restaurant did not seem busy but it took nearly 2 hours to... get our food - some of which could have taken 10 minutes to prepare. The food itself was disappointing. My sister ordered amango salad which cost $16.00 but was incredibly small and basically a pile of spinach with mango. Otherwise, the waitress wasnice and accommodating to members of our party with allergies. But the service and quality of the food was certainly not worththe time or money. Read more
Food was tasty, but the service.....TERRIBLE! Never got offered water with our meal, ordered a second beer and never got it, ate... my complete meal without any drink or the server checking in. Needless to say, a tip was not given. And to make the best of it,our visit was on a slow Monday evening. So the idea of it being busy was not the case. My wife and I are here visiting friends. They said we needed to try this place. I LOVE FOOD, especially eating it! The food... portion is large for the price. Definitely would recommend for people with big appetite. The fish taco and fish & chipsdefinitely taste fresher then what we get back home. Our wait staff was nice and arrived at the table at great timings. Not toearly but not to late just when needed and not with our mouth full lol! My husband and I visited the Crown and Moose for dinner Friday evening and had a very pleasant experience. The food was very... good and we both enjoyed our meal. What stood out about the evening was the service we received from our waitress Robyn. She wasso pleasant and friendly and seemed to be very efficient. You could certainly see she enjoyed what she was doing and I wouldthink every employer would love to have an employee with the enthusiasm for their job that this young lady has.
