The NC Trout was delicious. My biggest issue was not enough food, but expensive. If you are going to have such an expensive... menu, put more food on the plate. I felt like going to Taco Bell afterwards and I’m not a big guy. The server was friendly andthe place felt comfortable and clean. I will go back actually. Let's start off with the entrance. There was a hostess at the door that literally stared at me for a while minute b4 I had to... break her rudeness and ask her "so do you seat us or we seat ourselves?!?" That was super weird. Then she proceeded to askinside or out we said out took her more than 5 min to go to the patio to check avaliablity but because the windows are glass wesaw her outside talking to another server I stead of helping us...so long that a manager now notices we have been standing atthe front of the restaurant not being helped... He hurried over to our service (which was appreciated) apologized for thehorrible service and sat us with the best server (LIZ or something close close that) and things slowly turned around. This isout first time at the Lake Norman location in which we were very excited since the Waterman on South End in Charlotte wasamazing,, but we live here in Cornelius and wanted to give it a try. I've tried the calamari at both locations bot a fan. Triedthe sweet tots and scallops with spinach OMG...everything was pretty tasty ???? Happy is from 2 to 7 with 1.50 oysters....goahead give em a try just hope the hostess actually does her job. Read more
The server was very nice. The voodoo shrimp and the crab cakes was very very spicy. I couldn't taste the food because it was... overly spicy. The specialty drinks tasted a little watered down. We wanted to enjoy the food bc it was highly recommended. Butwhen we told the person that recommended it he too said he had a bad experience recently. This place is one of the rare places these days were the management and staff work in tandem to satisfy the customers. Ally aka... Alexandria, is one of the amazing member of the staff. I also met the manager which is a rare thing these days. I noticed thatthe manager motivated his staff from the kitchen, dining room area, prep area and even the bar!! I wanted fish and chips andgot exactly it was delicious!! I normally would have a drink , but abstain since it was too early for that.
