Expensive for Food that is not good. All 4 different dishes we ordered were extremely salty, shrimp, flounder, oysters taco,... and the cod fish and chips. The fries were cold and salty.. Brussels sprouts and the grouper finger were over cooked. Service was good. Waitress tried hard. The restaurant was not busy on a Friday and now we know why. Read more

The food we ordered was good and came out in a reasonable amount of time. This is a bar so be prepared for lots of conversation... and noise around you. The waitress recommended a new appetizer. We expected it to be priced similar to the others, but when wegot the bill it was $25. Wish we would have been told that when ordering. There is a 4% charge if you aren't paying in cash.Another thing I wish I knew before the bill showed up. Read more

What a surprise!! Goodbye Hello Saylor. This place changed over to Kat's about a year ago. Wish we would have visited a... year ago. Our food was great. Shrimp cocktail, grilled salmon, the bacon broiled brussels sprouts were awesome even thesimple green beans were fresh and tasty. I was very surprised how good everything was. The staff is young and inexperienced. If you have patience and treat them right they always do a good job for you. They are learning and just need some guidance. Read more

Food was ok. Popcorn shrimp were well seasoned and well cooked. Most of the other fried food didn?t stand out. Shrimp and grits... were ok. The service was very poor. We had to ask for our drinks when the waitress brought us our appetizer as she appeared tohave forgotten to bring them. Entrees came very quickly. It was mediocre. I wouldn?t eat here again. First time customer, great waitress Chloe, good, but not great grouper bites, gumbo was ok, and we returned the red snapper and... dirty rice which was cold and tasteless. Great key lime pie and wine list! Read more

Delicious food! I?ve tried the Tuna Entree with green beans and Fish Tacos (blackened) with Brussels. Highly recommend both.... Service is great! Be sure to sit at the bar so that the wonderful Stacey can give you the best dining experience ever!! Read more

Verdict: Not bad for a casual seafood spot. Kat's feels like the kind of place you'd find in a small town at the coast. Very... casual "local" feeling spot, nothing too upscale or fancy. Felt new and clean, but decor and ambiance were a littlelacking. With that said, I felt like the food was all pretty decent. Couldn't complain with anything I had. Unfortunatelydespite three types of crab listed on the menu, only one was available when I stopped in, but I'll give benefit of the doubtthere. Would I go out of my way to stop back in? Probably not. But if someone suggested meeting up there I'd certainly go. Read more

We were so lucky to find this hidden gem. While neighood restaurants are running on long wait or no available seating, it was so... easy to find a seat at Kat?s with their friendly hostess and waitresses. If you are a seafood lover or not do NOT missdelicious Taco?s BEST in the Lake Norman area ???? Oyster dishes and Tuna salad were also amazing. Can?t wait to try theirP-Boys and crab next time. Let?s support this local business. You will not be disappointed! Read more
