The fried broccoli was extremely salty! And I love salt! The fish is precooked as other comments have stated. The food was meh.... Not horrible (besides the fried broccoli). Would I revisit, no. And the cashier did not want to be there! It was obvious! Read more
I got the Southern Fried Fish with Mac and Cheese and Turnip Greens. It tasted good and there was not a long wait to get it.
The sides are always good, but the ENTREES are ALWAYS undercooked or overcooked. I stopped going here for like 6 months..Decided... to go back today. Why did I do that? I have to go home and put my chicken in the air fryer... SMH. It's wet and undercooked. Read more
For the first time, I visited Abbay's about a month ago and had the fried catfish. It was great, and I looked forward to... returning again for more. Today, I went for the second time (at 4:00 p.m.) and got the fried catfish again, along withvegetables (Order 14405). I can give a 2 star rating ONLY because the vegetables were good. The fish, however, was probablycooked many hours earlier before my visit and a 2 and kept under a heat lamp for those several hours. IF there was supposed tobe any fish beneath the layers of crust, someone forgot to add the fish. I am sorely disappointed in having made the 15 minutedrive there, plus spending the money for the fish plate when it was of such poor quality. Used to love this place, but its slipping. Frequently missing sides, and today the food was terrible. WAY too much pepper in the... beef and parts of it were undercooked. Pink is ok on a steak, not ground beef. Read more
1st time in, I was so impressed with the process and the friendly/ efficient young lady at the counter. The food was also... impressive and truly had southern flair and taste. Not what I was expecting. The pork chop was juicy and fresh, black eye peaseand greens OMG!!the fish outstanding. Only minus was the beef tips and rice not so much( meat was rubbery and I got about 3teaspoons of rice) and the Mac and cheese while good had no seasoning. I will return time and time again????
