Terrible experience. Was there 2 weeks ago and will NEVER go back. Was told twenty minute wait, fine. 45 minutes later I asked... why people who came later where being seated and we were still waiting ? Girl didn?t seem concerned and offered to put us backon the list, again. We?ll never go back Read more

My husband and I came down to Moon to eat at Armstrong's but sadly they were only doing take out. Anyway, we decided to try... Mario's. We wait 15 minutes which for a Saturday night at 7pm was not bad. There was 1 waitress who was visibly frustrated withthe patrons and lack if help. The food was flavorless and cold. I had the Chicken Marsala it was far from Marsala. It wasseparated brown gravy on cold rubbery chicken. My husband had the Chicken Romano and he said it tasted like chicken with Chikfil a frozen lemonade on it. The rolls were basic yeast based dinner rolls with huge pieces of garlic thrown on top. The stuffedbanana peppers were watery and flavorless. Bottom line go somewhere else. Anywhere else. Read more

I'm in town overnight for a party and I wanted something close to my hotel......this place is amazing! Small intimate space,... family oriented, great Italian food, amazing service.....the chicken piccata is very good and the huge garlic rolls, slatheredin butter with garlic cloves on top......diet be damned! Very nice experience; will definitely come here again when I'm back intown Read more

Warm, friendly atmosphere and wait staff. We had excellent fried zucchini and perfectly seasoned lump crab cake appetizers. The... tender lemony veal piccata was absolutely delicious! Read more

Great Italian Food - but beware of upcharges! My wife and I enjoyed the daily special, which was a penne Bolognese. Nice... flavors, plenty of meat in the sauce, and tender pasta. There was an extra plate charge of $3 to split the order. The pastawas $18 plus the extra $3... The special had one free side, so I ordered a side Caesar salad and was charged an extra $2.50. Apparently on the menu is says only the house side salad is free. The extra cost of the Caesar side wasn't a good value atall. My wife had a Mario's special salad, which she enjoyed. We had to remind the server to bring the salad dressing. Webegan the meal with a stuffed banana peppers appetizer. The menu said they were spicy banana peppers and they were too spicyfor my wife. I'd never had this dish before, so I was glad to order it and try it - but just once. Overall - we enjoyed thefood. The service was friendly but just average. And the prices were higher than they should have been after the upcharges. After splitting an entrée, taxes, and tip - and drinking just tap water - the total bill was $44.00. That's pretty high forwhat we received, and we probably won't go back. Read more

Recently remolded and under new ownership, I was hoping for some changes and tweaks in the menu. They removed the wall from bar... area and this gives it an open concept with a little more breathing room. A fresh coat of paint, new tablecloths and newdinnerware has given the place a fresh look. I only go here with friends that absolutely love the place and the food.Personally I think there is other choices for Italian. I love garlic but it should never be the main ingredient. Read more

We wanted to have a bit of comfort food without driving all the way into the city from our hotel near the airport, and this was... relatively close and open somewhat late, which sealed the deal. It's easy to miss, tucked into a small strip of shops on a darkroad, so you definitely need to be looking for it. The space is large, but divided into smaller areas so it feels a bit moreintimate than it looks. The food was ok, somewhat disappointing considering what we were smelling. The bread was way too greasyand garlicky, and the sauce on my entree (Mario's Own Hot Sausage Casserole)was so watery that I had to pour it into the bottomplate before I tried to eat. My daughter's parmigiana and pasta were very good, and the spumone and the lemon berry marscaponecake were excellent. It was a decent meal, just unfortunately not a great one. Read more
