Sat at the bar and had few drinks before on a Sunday with a friend. Me being a Mexican born and picky when it comes to Mexican... food I wanted to try this place for a long time. Had the mole which wasn’t bad. Drinks were very tasty and everyone wasnice. Only thing was bartender hardly ever smile and seemed moody. The huarache de cochinita pibil was not authentic. The huarache was like a brick of dough and the pork was not seasoned... properly. There were hardly any black beans on it. Pretty looking restaurant in Coral Gables. The food was pretty good. Queso fundido was amazing. Guacamole had a great twist to... it with the chicharrón on top. The steak tacos were fresh but really lacked some flavor - cilantro was minimal, onions weretasteless. I had to use a lot of salt to flavor them up. The drinks were very good but drink service was slow - we got our foodway before the first round of drinks. Service was okay - nothing phenomenal but waitress was friendly. Overall a good place ifyou want a “fancier” restaurant for Mexican food rather than the local stands. Read more
