This place was heavily recommended and ended up being disappointing. Sashimi was inconsistently cut and low quality, rice was... overcooked, and sides were underwhelming. The staff was friendly. I won't go back. Read more
It's like a 4.5 star. Service is great. Lots of variety in the menu options. The food is tasty. Always somehow still left... feeling hungry when leaving and spending $20 on food. Read more
I just moved to Miami from Las Vegas leaving a 100% authentic Japanese Izakaya restaurant I went to for 6 years. I know this... because I lived in Japan for 4 years. This restaurant is not a true Japanese restaurant, let alone Izakaya or run by anyone whoknows Japanese food. First the atmosphere is not welcoming, it smells of clorox and the woman in charge is dressed like anurse. The smell of Clorox is overwhelming. It is freezing cold and there are some lightbulbs blinking that need to bereplaced. For the food, the tako su they used what is the seaweed you put in seaweed salad. Traditionally dried wakame seaweedis used for this dish. The tako was cut very thick and rough, had serrations from the dull knife that was used and was notcooked enough. Very thick and chewy. You should never see serration marks ever. This was akin to a Korean style dish andhorribly executed. The tuna tataki was not correct. It was not seared at all. It appeared to be barely browned by a torch. Thesauce was not correct either. We only ate a few pieces. The wahoo misoyaki was ok, borderline over cooked but definitely notanything to be impressed by. Over all in my opinion, the reviews on this restaurant are very misleading as this is not a trueJapanese Izakaya in any form. Considering the location I was expecting more, especially after reading the reviews but I'mlearning that there is no really good traditional Japanese restaurants here in Miami let alone Asian restaurants ingeneral. This is a struggle for me leaving a healthy Asian food culture in Nevada and the west coast in general. Really that'sthe only thing I miss about that side of the country after living there 12 years. The food is 5 stars, great Japanese menu, they have dishes that you can?t find easily. The attention was 5 stars too, our... server was super sweet, attentive and the food came fast. For ambience, decoration (low key) and size of the place I wouldgive them 4 stars. It will be better having more separation between tables and more cozy lights, but beside that everythinglooks clean and the food is really good. Read more
I went for dinner with my husband and our expectations were very high because we had been told that the place is excellent. Our... opinion is that the food is good but the attention is horrible. The place is tiny, the tables are so close together that itseems that you are sharing a table with the person next to you. The sushi rolls break when you dip them in soy, the yakisovanoodles were so soggy, the pasta had no consistency and was more vegetable than protein. The soup, as can be seen in thephotograph, the broth had almost no flavor and was very tasteless. I could continue giving examples of why we do not recommendthis place but above all I want to emphasize the terrible attention received. Read more
My favorite place. I always get the dragon roll and salmon sushi. Great combo and perfect every time. They are always busy for... dine-in but we do take away and it?s always ready when they say it will be. I have never waited for pick up. Read more
